kitties love this buy almost every week

Like a lot of others here, we have an older cat and we're looking for foods that are easier for him to eat. These broths are attractively packaged, extremely appetizing-looking and fresh smelling. Our old boy loves the broth but we smash up the pieces of fish or chicken to make them easier for him to eat. Our younger cats have no trouble. The one thing I will mention is, in my opinion, they are extremely expensive for the amount of product. Really, it's just a few tablespoons, at most. In fairness, Purina does describe them as a "treat" but be aware you may end up using several envelopes a day if you are depending on these for a meal. We're still looking for a more sensible and cost effect alternative, but in the meantime, he does love these. UPDATE June 9, 2018 Not long after I wrote this review, we decided that our oldest cat was losing too much weight and began hand feeding him. I'm SO glad that we did but only wish we had started sooner. I had some concern that if we started hand feeding, he would stop eating and drinking independently, but nothing could be further from the truth. If anything, hand feeding increased his independent eating and his weight is back where it should be. If you are in the same situation, I recommend hand feeding sooner rather than later. My big orange boy likes this. I like the convenience of the pouches. Sometimes I have to get a spoon to get all of the chunks out of the bottom. It is a great consistency for mixing with an elderly cat's meds and for making prescribed food more palatable. If this is used as a meal, the serving is small for my big 14 pound orange boy. I have to give him 2 where a smaller cat would probably be okay with 1 per meal. I have this on subscription to keep me out of the stores.
