absolutely blown away
well where do I start I was in 2 minds of either going the full pedal board route or multi effects a friend of mine has the GT1 for guitar and when I worked it out to get the effects in this separately would cost way more than this pedal, this pedal is an absolute steal for what you get, I can do all my live and home jam sets with this setting up patches is a breeze on the pc software haven't tinkered much with the buttons etc as I can easily modify etc through my laptop the amp emulators are excellent too, I tried my mates GT1 and fell in love with the possibilities of patches and since I have brought this I love it, only negatives for me is the power cable input and the usb to pc input are a little wiggly so if you yank them they may fail at some point and the tone central for bass compared to guitar is pretty pathetic guitar have loads of patches you can download but bass have 3 artists that have patches that are pretty much what's in the default patches where as guitar has more famous artists and songs patches already built, I build all my own and the tone exchange can be handy but not a lot of people se it I will upload a good few of my own soon on there for people to use, all in all this pedal can be end game it'll do pretty much most things you want to do and a lot cheaper than the helix and quad cortex etc., I'd recommend this to anyone new or professional its top notch, one downside is the tuner maxes at 445hz frequency and most top end tuners go to 455-460hz when you invest you kind of expect full frequency range on thew tuner.

Excellent Bass Effects Processor
If you are looking for something to be able to easily adapt your bass sound at a reasonable price, then look no further. The quality of product and sound are top notch. Probably answers why Boss have not produced anything to "update" this since its release in June 2017. It includes 90 unique effects, including 13 different preamp types, which are all specially tuned for bass. It comes with a 32 second looper, built-in tuner and a foot pedal. Connect the unit via USB and use the downloadable Tone Studio software to easily edit your effects and create libraries of sounds ready to apply to the unit for different stage / practice setups. The only thing that you will have to allow for is that it does not come with any power adaptor (set of 4 AA batteries only), so you will need to buy one of these separately. You do not need to buy the very expensive Boss offering mind. Overall a great product and I am very happy with my purchase.

Budget price for premium sound.
Bought this primarily to add a bit of controllable reverb, delay, compression and EQ to my acoustic guitar. I also bought a cheap 2 button toggle pedal to allow me to have 2 CTL switches and a tap tempo on the delay. Out the box it sounded a bit harsh on my trace acoustic amp but with some tweaks to the master EQ it sprang into life. Delays are nice and varied. Reverbs are OK, would have liked to have been able to have the reverb as loud as the dry signal for some volume swell effects. The acoustic processor brings some nice tonal adjustments and with the right tweaks, it makes your guitar sing. Programing on the unit is straightforward if you are used to these kinds of units and you can also assign the 3 rotary knobs to almost ant effect parameter for live tweaking. There are also 4 assignment controls per patch that can be used in conjunction with the CTL and expression pedals to manipulate effect parameters like toggling long/short Reverbs without changing the patch and having harsh cut offs. The chorus is also very nice, which is expected from a boss unit. The pitch shifter is a bit pants, very warbly on clean sounds, passible when using distortion/OD. The other modulation effects all sound fantastic, particularly the rotary speaker. Using my electric, the amp sims sound great as do the various distortion/overdrives. The editing software for the PC is very user friendly and is great for learning all the tweaks you can apply using the assignments. Build wise it ferls quite sturdy and it should be able to last a good few years of playing. Overall I'd say this is a great wee unit, but the 2 extra toggle pedals are a must to unleash its full potential. If you are looking for a budget multi effects but not a budget sound, this has it in spades.

No power adaptor included. Looks like im not the first who opened the box, not sealed, but still looks brand new and fresh. No issues as well. Free battery only last for 4hrs. Better buy power adaptor

You really can't beat this unit for ease of use, features, or sound quality. True, some of the effects aren't quite exactly like the vintage analog boxes they emulate, but it's surprising how close they actually get. And most of the dozens of effects you can choose from are stellar. The internal routing is well thought out as well, with copies of some effects showing up in other areas just in case you want your phaser in front of your distortion. Very cool and compact, I feel like I've only scratched the surface after a couple of weeks. I especially like how in "manual" mode, it's like having eight discrete pedals at once, with all the controls just where you'd expect them with ZERO menu diving!

A bit pricey but pretty impressive pedal! So many settings on it. Very polyvalent. However it takes a little time to get used to it and set the exact precise sound I want. I think this pedal is worth every cent I spent on it.
