Brilliant. Easy to use. Clear display. Very accurate and reliable. Lights up so the screen can be seen in the dark if needing to check temperature overnight. Worth the money.

Fast, Accurate & Smart – A Must-Have for Every Home!
I recently bought the Braun Ear Thermometer, and I’m genuinely impressed! As a parent, accuracy and speed are everything when checking temperatures, and this device delivers both flawlessly. The Age Precision technology is a game-changer—it adjusts the fever guidance based on age, which gives me peace of mind whether I’m checking my toddler or myself. The color-coded display makes it incredibly easy to interpret results at a glance: green for normal, yellow for elevated, and red for fever. No second-guessing! Plus, the reading is ready in just 3 seconds, which is perfect for restless kids. I’ve tested it multiple times, and the readings are consistently accurate. It’s also very intuitive to use—just pop on a disposable lens filter, press the button, and you’re done. For the quality and reliability Braun offers, I think it’s excellent value for money. If you want a thermometer that combines speed, precision, and smart features, this is the one to get. Highly recommended! Pros: ✔ Age Precision technology for tailored guidance ✔ Color-coded display for quick interpretation ✔ Fast 3-second readings ✔ Accurate and reliable results ✔ Easy to use and hygienic Cons: ✖ Requires disposable lens filters (extra cost)

Brilliant thermometer- must have item with kids
Brilliant! We bought an older version of this 10 years ago and it has lasted brilliantly with a fair bit of use. We needed to replace it and this new one is just great. Same high quality that I’d expect from this brand. Comes with a pack of caps, plus 2 Duracell batteries pre-installed so you can use it straight away. You need to select the age of the child first, then when you take the temperature, the screen lights up green to show you their temperature is normal, orange to show there is a fever and red for a high fever. Also shows the exact temperature in clear text. It’s quick and easy taking the temperature, with minimal bother to the person you’re checking. Doesn’t feel too heavy and comes in a holder that has a space for spare caps which is a nice upgrade from my previous thermometer . Very easy to read and use. Would definitely recommend for peace of mind with children (and adults!)

Fast, Accurate, and Easy to Use
It’s works great, quick, accurate, and very easy to use. I love that it shows different baby age ranges, which makes the readings more helpful and reassuring. The display is clear, and the results are consistent. A very useful tool to have at home!

Very good, but beware of price gauging..
There was a period early on in COVID-19 lockdown that it was near enough impossible to buy one of these for a reasonable price. Even Amazon were charging £50+ for them, some unscrupulous third-party sellers were listing them over £100, and people were buying them because they were desperate. You should be looking to buy them at around £40. It just so happened we needed one during this period, because our baby was sick and we were told we should try monitoring his temperatures. This had nothing to do with COVID, else we'd have just waited. Thankfully I managed to get one at £38 directly from Amazon, and it does seem to be very good, generally. The accuracy is hard to gauge really. Perhaps it fluctuates slightly due to ear position etc, but I have noticed its readings do vary occasionally. It has 3 temperature modes for: newborns, 3-36months and 36months+ - This is because temperatures can be more serious at these earlier points so the 'allowable' temperature tolerances are lower. It is helpful though that these are suitable from birth. I chose this style over other thermometers because this is the type all the medical staff seemed to use in the maternity wards. The tip is pre-warmed to try and make it less of a shock when taking your child's temps, however I still find our son hates having it done, and wriggles everywhere! It also has a memory feature, which tells you the last 9 stored temperatures. It's easy to use, though I would like the thermometer to remember/store the last age range entered. It's a faff having to add same age every time I want to use it. The case is nice and protects the vulnerable probe side of the device. It also comes with a small box of tips. These are single-use (not ideal) disposable tips that keep the unit hygienic. You get around 20 of these with the unit. You can buy refills via Amazon (I bought the official Braun ones, but there are cheaper imitations if looking to save money). The case allows you to store a box or two of these tips within itself. The reading only takes around 2 seconds once in the ear and button pressed, which is impressive, especially when trying to take temps of an irate baby! If temperatures are in the normal range for the selected age group, the temperature will be returned with a green backlight. If it is elevated for the age range it'll be amber, and it'd be advisable to monitor closely any changes. If it is too high, it'll show a red backlight. I believe if this happens you should speak to a GP about it (especially if children). This is worth the price in my opinion. There are cheaper alternatives, but I feel that if the Doctor's, Midwives and Nurses are using them all over the NHS then they must be the better option.

Excellent seller item as described

This is a great step-up from the old fashioned oral thermometers, and the process of taking my temperature is now quick and easy. It's more expensive certainly, but it was still a lot cheaper than the forehead scanning devices. The need for new plastic covering cartridges between each use seems a bit excessive, but it's been a small compromise for an overall better experience. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs a thermometer for babies, children, and adults—just remember to buy extra cartridges when you order it.

Life saviour! I wonder why we didn’t order this sooner! A great gift for new or toddler parents. Our child responds to this one much calmer than the conventional thermometers, esp when kids are more crankier than usual

In het ziekenhuis waar ik werk werken wij er ook mee en ik kan niets anders zeggen als dat het een top product is. Ik vind persoonlijk de optie om de leeftijd in te stellen een beetje overbodig, maar dit komt door mijn medische achtergrond.
