Great Health Fixing Book
Absoloutely super, easy read, easy reference health aid improvement book. I can tell it is written with proper knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to share unreservedly the real benefits of Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and it's complete natural organic formation from Mother Nature. From reading this I have since used the ACV on my dogs and seen remarkable improvements health and vitality wise and their coats are better too which is good as I am now able to show my 9 year old at Crufts in Veteran Class even though he thinks he is back to being a puppy!

Great Fun!
If you ignore the religious or "crusader" elements you can marvel at the fact that virtually all these old messages are proven facts today. Fasting is a little controversial but widely accepted, coffee is not demonized (but the Bragg's hated all stimulants), ACV benefits are proven. This family knew a lot before their time!

"Bragg"ing Rights
This isn't the book I was expecting it to be. I thought maybe a bit of history of the uses of ACV, some folklore cures, dosage etc., just not this! It is not so much a book about ACV as a high pressure sales pitch designed to make you buy in to the Bragg lifestyle along with their many published books and ever increasing product list. Talk about BAM BAM BAM, I had a headache by the time I'd read the first 20 pages. (Yes, I know, take some ACV!). I should have been warned by the cover really, as it is a huge hint as to how the text is presented. The first six pages are nothing but feedback the Braggs have received (all positive, naturally!). Then another fifteen or so pages packed with photos of the Braggs with various celebrities and film stars, some serious name dropping and then another five or six pages full of 'letters of appreciation'. Then finally we get to the contents pages, all eight of them, by which time we're almost a quarter of the way through the book, allowing for the back content of advertisements for the Bragg products and a large index. Yes, there is information in there, and yes, the amount of ills this stuff is supposed to cure is stupendous, but it is presented in such a scatter gun manner, and also repeats itself quite a lot. Possibly this is not a book designed to be read from cover to cover, but as a reference tome. Look up what you need to know in either the index or the contents and go straight to it. The authors sound a very God fearing pair - of course not a problem, but some readers may find the constant references to God, The Creator etc. a bit off-putting, although these references only get going with any regularity a bit deeper into the book along with the odd prayer. Also liberally scattered through the book are motivational phrases and anecdotes from famous people past and present. There are also some frankly bizarre suggestions - I particularly liked the one about storing your urine in individual glass jars for a fortnight in order to observe the wonders the ACV is working. Now that would be a talking point for any visitors using the bathroom wouldn't it! They also roundly recommend using ACV as a mouthwash, failing to mention that the acid in it will seriously erode tooth enamel. There is the usual American obsession with 'elimination' - and if you want to know exactly how to sit on the toilet and empty your bowels successfully, then this is the book for you! And if you want to lose weight, then take the recommended dose of ACV, exercise and restrict your calories to 1200 per day. Personally I would think that anyone sticking to 1200 calories and exercising everyday is going to shed weight anyway, ACV or not. The authors have set themselves up as lifestyle gurus and all credit to them, have no doubt made millions by marketing what is after all a natural product. Judging by this book and others they have published, they fully intend making sure that the dollars will continue to flow in courtesy of the gullible public.
