YONGNUOYN-560 IV Flash Speedlite for Canon Nikon Pentax Olympus DSLR Cameras

My YN-560 IV arrived about two hours ago and I am already glad I took the punt on this amazing piece of kit, worth every penny! I have just ordered a second.This is my first speedlight so I did not want to spend a lot of money despite looking at the Canon equivalent on the high street. Build quality is good and it comes with a little stand and a soft case. It is extremely easy to use and understand (even with the limited instructions as supplied).I got the 560-TX Flash controller as well - it took less than a minute to pop AA batteries in and have both the controller and the flash talking to one another. There are plenty of YouTube videos out there to help you but, suffice to say, it is very easy and 'just works'.Controlling flash output and mode are super simple and I am already thinking about the miriad of creative uses for off-camera flash, this will certainly help extract any talent I may have (and, if not, it will be great fun trying).Power output ranges from full down to 1/128th and can be increased in one third stops. Recycle time (full power) is about two seconds.This is a manual flash not a E-TTL type thing but I personally like trial and error.Super happy!

Great speedlight with excellent build quality and adjustability. Very powerful, easily manageable and working beautifully in manual mode with my Fujifilm X-T1 and X-E1 cameras. It delivers natural colours and I can verify it works just fine with lenses ranging from 18mm to 55mm (APS-C sensor). Fantastic value for money. Highly recommended to Fujifilm X users.

Amazing value for money units. I use these in purely manual mode both using a 560 in commander mode and with the optional wireless controller. I have 3 of them and they have been abused at weddings never missing a beat.If you are confident in using manual flash these will serve you well. They work fine in rear curtain sync mode. The only thing missing is high speed sync so Yongnuo please make some Olympus dedicated hardware.

Great flash! Build quality is more than good enough, battery life is good and it works perfectly. When paired with the YN560-TX controller, it's the best bang-for-the-buck flash system on the market. Cycle times are fine, battery life is good, wireless is great with the remote controller (I think beginners would find it much easier than faffing with separate triggers). With some cheap modifiers you've got yourself a great mini setup for portraits, events etc.My only minor frustration is if the flashgun is in wireless mode, it won't fire from the hotshoe, so you have to remember to switch it between modes when going from off-camera to on-camera flash. Tiny little niggle, but can't see why it doesn't just respond to the hotshoe in all modes, to be honest.

My second purchase of the Yongnuo YN560iv speedlight & it won't be the last. Solid piece of kit that hasn't let me down with miss fires. It has a radio sender & receiver built in so it works perfectly with the YN560tx that allows you to control the power & zoom of the flash from the top of your camera without having to get into the softbox or go to the stands for adjustments. It's 100% manual but that's not a problem with me as I prefer to control the unit instead of TTL. Why pay more for the bigger brand names when you can buy 6 of these units for the same price & get the functionality that you need.

After buying this from Amazon and it not being delivered I bought from another supplier. Flashes are amazing for the price. Easy adjustment of power, nice and loud on recharge and works well with my wireless triggers. Only thing that bothers me is a slight difference in power between multiple fast shots at lower output settings. Same photo, same settings on camera, low power on flash but there is a difference in lighting... Should expect something for the price I paid. Still great manual flashes.

I bought this and the YN560-TX wireless flash controller at the same time. It's simple to use on its own or in conjunction with the controller. The absence of TTL metering is not a problem for me as I would only ever use it on manual anyway. A great product at a great prize. I will be buying more units when the need arises.
