Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) OBD2 Car Code Reader Scan Tool OBD Scanner for IOS And Android Device

Bought to use with a BMW F10 5-series as a companion to the Bimmercode app. It's simple and effective, supports the necessary protocols, has proven reliable after months of use and is compact enough to hide away in the car permanently.

Decent bit of kit ...does what it says.....but avoid makers own app and download another such as obd car doctor as it runs no problem and is easier to follow.

I had trouble connecting, it wouldn't send signals I had to return it but the 2nd one worked better, just not what I expected

Good product. Bluetooth 4.0 is much faster than previous versions so keeps up with pulling the PIDs from the OBD system and doesn't run your battery down if you leave it in. You can press the on button on the dongle (not well documented!) to wake it back up again if it has gone to sleep overnight. Being able to successfully read the real-time engine parameters let me diagnose a problem with my car and avoid £400 in unneeded "repairs" the dealer wanted to do - recommend getting the Torque Pro app to go with this dongle. Highly recommended, very happy.

Item advertised as Apple compatible.Be aware! It does not appear to work on IOS!I installed their recommended app “Auto Doctor” but it simply did not see the dongle!Very disappointed. You have been warned.

Says it works with dashcommand, tried both android and iOS versions and they don’t support the device. Hopefully the apps get refunded. Works fine with Harry’s LapTimer and it’s reccomended obd car dr app which requires a $75 yearly subscription to unlock all the useful features (I have no intention of paying that much!)
