Shabby Chic Furniture Wax - Clear Finish

Lovely wax to use on upcycled furniture items. The was applied evenly and left no stickiness or residue. Polished off beautifully and left my paintwork looking wonderful. I had used a matte paint and didn't want the wax to leave a sheen. It was perfect. A little went a long way, so I have plenty left for future projects. It was a solid substance but melted tge moment it was applied to the cloth and was therefore easy to apply evenly on the paintwork. It was a pleasant smell. I was nervous that it cost so little but it has out performed some of the branded and expensive products. I'd definitely buy again.

Great wax & easy to apply but very overwhelming smell, which I’m ok with, but the smell doesn’t leave the item of furniture at all. The product is also solvent based so make sure your pet doesn’t lick it! My dog was totally obsessed with it, probably because the smell is so pungent, and I ended up having to permanently move the item of furniture to a room the dog doesn’t have access to.

Works great but smells bad

Den Wax, den ich zu der Kreidefarbe (vom gleichen Hersteller) mit bestellt habe, wurde von mir postwendend zurückgesandt. Dafür nehmen ich sogar die hohen Versandkosten von rund 8Euro in Kauf. Der Wax stinkt dermaßen, dass es unmöglich ist, die bearbeiteten Möbel dazu versiegeln. Schon gar nicht, wenn man Tiere im Haus hat. Keine Ahnung, was in dem Wax drin ist, aber gesund riecht er nicht. Es gibt auch keinen Hinweis, dass der Wax nicht in geschlossenen Räumen verwendet werden darf oder das die gewachsten Teile für einen nicht einschätzbaren Zeitraum draußen ausdünsten müssen. Alles in allem, Farbe und Wax, ich bin maßlos enttäuscht! PS: Leider ist es nicht möglich, eine Geruchsprobe dieser Rezession beizufügen - schade eigentlich!

Worked well, a little smelly.

This product worked great to seal mason jars that have been painted with chalk paint. The scent is really off putting.
