Good coverage and application
This is my go to hair dye. It mixes well, goes on easily and evenly and gives my hair a beautiful colour and shine that lasts. My hair is so soft and shiny after using and I always get compliments on it. The price is excellent as well.

D+++ colour (light red to blonde)
Trying to get back to my natural colour as my son requested we “match for summer”. Started with a red that already had a lot of the colour taken out using Revolution colour remover a few weeks ago. So, as you can, see it was quite light already. After using the D+++ product it is slightly lighter but still has a strong orange tint despite using purple shampoo (bought separately) and the blue conditioner (included). I’m now going to run to the supermarket for an ash blonde and praying it will take out the remainder of the red. Irony is I will be going back to auburn in the autumn!

The colour on the website isn't the same as the one on the actual box. The colour on the website has been enhanced to make it look much brighter than it actually is. The dye itself turned more blue/black than purple. While unhappy with the colour, the Nutrisse dye does always leave your hair feeling much healthier than other brands I've tried. Will stick to buying in-person where you can actually see the actual colour on the box.

How to dye your hair at home with Garnier Nutrisse Permanent Hair Dye: Always do a patch test 48 hours in advance of using any home hair dye products. Please always refer to the product for full safety instructions. Top tips for home hair dye: Use an old towel as permanent hair dye may stain it. Apply moisturising cream to your hairline to avoid staining from the permanent hair dye. Hair Dye can only lighten your natural hair colour 1 to 2 levels – check the back of pack to see if it is the right hair colour shade for you. If you have long or thick hair, use two hair dye boxes. 1. Start by putting on gloves and instantly mix the colour cream into the developer cream bottle. Shake well to mix. 2. Apply the mix in sections, starting with your roots and working through to the ends 3. Leave to develop for 25-35 mins, as stated on the instructions, depending on the result you wish to achieve. 4. Rinse until the water runs clear and apply the nourishing conditioner and rinse again.

I cut my dark hair really short before I started in on it. I had a big white streak in the front, and I just didn't like looking like a badger!! After a few applications, and various shades of brown, orange and yellow, I finally achieved the colour I wanted which is a soft white. Now my hair is long .. at least as long or longer than the girl in the picture on the package, so all I have to do is treat the roots about every 4 to 6 weeks. I love the colour I am now .. I've been doing it for about 8 years now. Good luck with this .. you might want to go to a professional the first time .. and then do it yourself after that.
