Sennheiser PMX 686i Sports Earphones - iPhone

There are some niggles but the sound is as good as Bose equivalents that are more expensive.I find these ideal for the gym because they stay in place whatever I'm doing.If you are lying on the floor or sitting on a high back bench the neck piece may make contact and you may have to adjust your neck or head position.Also ideal for running.If you sweat and get moisture in your ears this will distort or amplify the sound - guess this is true for any in ear headphones.The earpieces have little rubber grommets - these have been falling off daily - you'll still be able to use the earphones - I'm going to try gluing them!There's a little clip for the lead which is OK but easy to lose - thinking about cable tying this!Previous model use to fail at the junction of the cable and the plug - so ALWAYS unplug using the plug NOT the cable!!

Great headphones. I wish the device for altering the volume was lower down on the lead however (like it was on the older model) as I find it quite hard to adjust it in its current position much nearer my head.

I decided to spend a little extra on these - I'm a satisfied Sennheiser customer and the reviews were generally positive. Unfortunately despite trying to persevere for a few months now they have left me underwhelmed and disappointed, particularly as for me it fails on the main selling points - running comfort, and safety.On a positive, the sound quality is everything you'd expect from Sennheiser - it is excellent. In fact these rival all of my standard headphones. Unfortunately they are not particularly comfortable in my ears. This is not particularly noticeable for the first half an hour or so of wearing them, but beyond 45 minutes they need to come out and they're then a pain to either have around your neck or in hand. When in, the control module is quite high up the cable, such that it acts like a pendulum tapping away at your face or neck, unless you clip the wire down tightly which then tugs as you run.The most disappointing feature for me is the claim that these earphones give you better situational awareness, which was a major selling point. I find that they block my ears almost perfectly! Of course unlike conventional earphones you can't really remove just one when running on roads, and I really can't hear a thing other than my music. If using these other than for exercise this would be brilliant, but is rather defeats the point.Overall then I am disappointed with these earphones, particularly given how much money they were, although the sound quality is impressive.

I've been through a few headphones whilst doing my jogging and they've always had something wrong and were imperfect, NOT THESE! I know they are a little more expensive but can't recommend these highly enough. They sit around my head perfectly and slot nicely into my ears. The headphones do not budge but they're not too tight either...really comfortable. The added volume control and the little clip on the chord are great features as well as the chord being stronger than those I've previously had. I do hope they last a long time as I do not want to have to change them, they are fab.

I Love this brand and this item! The Best Sports headphones on the market by far! Great Sound, quick delivery, will be ordering more for friends! Only one minus, the headphones mic doesn't seem to work :(

Possibly the only issue I have is that these earphones seem to "bounce" a lot when used running, causing a booming noise in my ears. Otherwise, great sound quality, and prompt delivery service from the supplier

Pitty it is not wireless as it would have been the most perfect product on the market.

not a good as my last pair and also the cable position from the left headphone rubs on your ear. Not uncomfortable just annoying. Expensive for what they are, lets hope they last!
