Q: Will this scare bloody magpies 😡

I doubt it. I bought mine as I am plagued by pigeons and to start with they seemed a little wary but soon got used to it. It doesn't move so why would they be scared of it after a while? I still have it perched on a wall and I do occasionally move it but my garden is still full of crapping pigeons and I also have crows, jackdaws, magpies and jays so no, it's pretty ineffectual. I think the best thing is to have one that apears to fly, one like farmers have on a huge pole. Q: Any chance you can tell me the size?

Hi. It is 42 cm high. 17 cm wide at it's biggest width. It is plastic and hollow. There is a cap at the bottom so you can fill it with sand etc to make it heavier. I have not deployed it to scare away the pigeons yet. This will be done on Sunday, but I am assured the model works to scare other birds away. Regards Andrew.

Yes it is hollow, filled mine with gravel.

Q: Will this scare seagulls?

Mine sits on an outside windowledge on the 3rd floor and it has stopped the pigeons trying to come in through the window. it hasn't stopped them landing on windowledges nearby, though. Not sure about seagulls. The green parakeets ignore it completely!
