After years of healthy eating we just wanted a cheap and cheerful fryer to make real chips when the notion took, so after reading the reviews on this product we decided to buy. Its comes well presented in a branded box as you would expect with all the gubbins like guarantee, mini instructions etc. When we removed it from the box it looked really flimsy and on first impression I was a little underwhelmed, although when you build it up its a little more sturdy. It all comes apart for cleaning the heating element, the frying bath, the basket, the stainless steel outside and the lid. The handle for the basket is simple to attach just a quick squeeze and its on or off i'm not sure why some reviewer found this an issue to be honest Its easy to use and just fill with oil and away you go...producing PROPER chips, although using fresh oil and cleaning it well it still sticks the house so we have no shifted it to the garage and its now a permanent feature there, I have since made pakora and chicken nuggets for the kids which got their stamp of approval. In summary a its an very good little machine that works really well but perhaps build quality could be a little better and longevity may be an issue, however at under £25 delivered that's perhaps being a little overly critical as its does what it says it does

Great deep fat fryer

Delivered earlier this evening. Washed and dried according to instructions before first use. Have filled with 10 250g packs of beef lard. Very light in weight with a superb temperature control panel. Bit large for a 3l capacity but fits in my small kitchen very well. Oil container can be removed for ease of cleaning. I like that the lid does not have a filter and see through window fitted. Who deep fries with the lid on?? Easy to set up and I am sure it will fry well. Recommended to purchase this item.

I absolutely love this fryer like you wouldn't believe. Before this came into my life, most of my adult life involved cooking chips in the oven. Just not the same. I still remember my younger days when my dad home made the chips and put them in the fryer. It just couldn't be beaten but once I got my own place and being so safety conscious I never bought my own and oven chips it was for the next 15 plus years. I then decided to live a little and bought a chip pan to put on hob. But still the chips were not coming out nice and it was only enough to cook for 2 people. So I decide to go for the plunge and bought this and at such a good price too. I almost didn't buy it due to reviews about issues with the handle but I have had no issues with mine. It is secure, safe and stable. Maybe they are not putting them on correctly? I can cook 3-4 portions in this fryer. It all depends on how big you like your portions though. For a family of more than 4 I would say get a bigger fryer if you want your food all at the same time. It heats up real quick. I use 3 litres of vegetable oil in this fryer. It has a min and max line inside the fryer to help you get the measurement right. And the chips are great. I cook them at 170 and the chips come out real crispy just how we like them in 5-7 minutes. My daughter had her fussy friend over recently for dinner who is even fussy over chips but she said they are better chips then McDonald`s and for her to say that is an achievement in itself and she is now going to try and get her oven chip cooking mum to buy this now. Easy to clean and one of my best purchases this year.

This fryer does everything you need, room enough to cook two meals at a time , easy to clean, for the price I think it’s excellent, when cooking food in a fresh batter, I remove the basket as the batter will sometimes stick to the basket, as food floats to the top when cooked I use a spoon to remove from the fryer. Cheap way of doing crispy fish and chips, can’t afford to buy from the fish shop now !
