Made a clicking sound whenever I went to print reinstalled originals and printer was fine. Maybe there was something wrong with that set but I was afraid it would damage my printer so I returned them. It is a pity they did not seem to work well as they were a good price compared to the original cartridges.

Now that chips have been added to these toner cartridges, they are even better. No hassle just fit them and away you go.They perform just as well as HP originals in terms of print and build quality. It makes no sense to pay the higher price for originals when these are available.I’ve always been frustrated by printer companies who sell laser printers at a decent price then overcharge you for toners - well now you don’t have to pay it, a genuine lower cost alternative is available.

Okay, so important stuff to know. They do work in the HP printer. It hasn't thrown a fit or bricked itself. (I disabled updates as the included leaflet instructs.) The cartridges are different but compatible. IE they are not remanufactured real HP ones but entirely newly built ones with slightly different moulding and sockets. The tolerances are less tight and there is about half a millimetre to a millimetre play when fitted to the carriage, unlike the originals. This means there is a bit of a clunk as they initially engage but it doesn't seem to affect operation. The three colours work well and produce acceptable results.The problem is the black cart. The toner seems too low on one side of the cart and doesn't deposit on the page leaving the black grey. See photos. This did resolve itself after shaking the cart and printing three test pages. However on second use a couple of days later initially again it took two pages to "warm up" the black to flow properly. I don't know if this will resolve itself permanently or if I will waste a lot of toner and paper printing everything twice.

Easy to use and install, no need to replace chip with fiddly tweezers as they are all ready to go!

I have been looking for cartridge for a while now and have also bought many of these cartridges. However they were garbage and useless and I can’t say the same for these ones. Absolute lifesaver. Was gonna go mental if these turned out like the others but they didn’t. Would highly recommend this product.

I bought this product back in August but as the printer continued to do its job, I don't print much, I only fitted the first new cartridge today. It doesn't work! Despite following the instructions to disable the printer's firmware update feature, it doesn't work. A complete waste of £180.

So I have a fairly new printer - the HP original toners did great while they lasted with good quality prints. I went for a cheaper alternative due to the hefty price of original HP cartridges. I noticed if I had to print 2-4 pages it was all fine, but when I have to print more larger, 25 page documents, I noticed after about page 5, a blue streak started to appear on one side and would be there on every page there after. I tried the cleaning program on the printer, cleaned all parts inside the printer properly, used compressed are to get rid of any dust, but this made no difference. Prior to these cartridges I had no issues whatsoever, so it must be these! That is the reason I have given 2 start rating - I now understand why currently there is a 50% voucher available on these! Do yourself a favour and DO NOT BUY!On a positive note, thank you to Amazon for allowing me to return these for a full refund after having them for 3 months (but only installed for the past month).
