Toys, Water Magic - Animals, Colouring Books Children, Ages 3 Years Plus

Purchased for a 3 year old as a safe option to paint, crayons or pens. The magic element means no mess and no damage or staining to carpets, walls or soft furnishings. The paint process is plain water added to the magic pen which is chunky for little hands to hold. Just paint over the cardboard pictures with the pen and hey presto the colour appears. There are also blank parts on each picture page that when painted it shows hidden items. Its quite a clever concept. Whilst our 3 year old was only able to paint roughly over the pages at this age, it was highly entertaining for him and for us to watch him do it. Once each picture has been painted and the hidden items have magically appeared, leave the page to dry and it can be painted all over again. The book has a plastic compartment to store the pen safely for each use. The only negative I can comment on is the page close to the spiral binding took a little longer than the rest of the page but a minor observation and not a problem. We also have some mellisa and doug magic painting books and they are of good quality and used in the same way. These magic paint books are one of the best things that has captured our toddlers attention for more than 5-10mins at a time. Lots of these books available with different themes. Good for educational, hand and eye coordination Would definitely purchase more of these in the future and they come at a good price.

My daughter has 4 of these and absolutely loves them. As written in another review, they’re an easy, no mess way of keeping little ones entertained from much younger than the recommended 3+ age. Lovely, bright illustrations, can be used over and over again, taken with you on journeys/holidays. Great gift for little ones.

I handed this to my toddler and watched their eyes light up like they'd just discovered a secret treasure map. With just a splash of water, colourful animals magically appear - no mess, no fuss, and no need to panic about rogue crayons on the walls. It's like a reusable colouring book with a built-in wow factor. The pages dry quickly and reset for endless reuse, which means I haven’t had to buy new colouring books in weeks. It’s perfect for travel too - quiet, clean, and keeps little hands busy while waiting at restaurants or on long car rides. If you’re a parent looking for a screen-free activity that doesn’t involve glitter explosions or marker stains, this is a winner!

Great fun, everyone wanted a go at painting a picture. Just use the water pen and the colours show through and in an hour or so, it dries to use again. One word of warning though. I don't know if it was my son or my overenthusiastic nieces and nephews but where someone had scribbled maybe a little too hard, or where the water took too long to dry, the paper has worn away in places throughout the book showing the colours through. No one used the pen too hard as far as I could tell but it was used a few times throughout the day. By Boxing day, the magic is gone. Not durable - but great fun while it lasted! I'm thinking about ordering another one.

Bought two of these about 4 years ago for my twin daughters (who were then about 1 year old) and they are still going strong; just bought another as a gift. These books are simple in terms of design (use the water-pen to "colour" the pictures, which then dry out over a short period -10-20 mins- and can be re0used again...and again...and again...) - very well executed and stand the test of time! Really great when my girls were smaller to have handy in the buggy bag for them to use when we were out and about, as no worries about them getting pen marks over anything. We replaced the pen after a short while for one with a slightly thicker tip and then used the original as a spare. Brilliant product, one of our top 5 toys that we recommend to other parents!

My 3y old absolutely loves it, mess free the only downside is that you regularly need to refill but we love it.

Haben mehrere Blöcke von "Water Magic". Unsere Tochter ist drei Jahre alt und liebt sie. Es ist besonders für unterwegs (im Auto / im Restaurant / bei Freunden) ideal. Der Stift wird mit Wasser gefüllt und schon geht's los. Da der Stift auch eine Kappe hat, läuft das Wasser nicht aus, wenn man ihn zwischendrin transportieren muss. Durch die verschiedenen Motive wird das Malen auch nie langweilig und es gibt immer was neues zu entdecken (manche Dinge werden erst sichtbar wenn man drüber malt). Dadurch dass nur mit Wasser gemalt wird, gibt es auch keine Flecken oder sonstige "Unfälle".
