This is a seriously good carpet shampoo. It cleans well - which is of course key - and the smell it leaves behind isn't too chemical or overpowering. It does foam up a fair bit, but no more than its competitors and the foam is completely manageable by a domestic carpet-cleaning machine. I'm using this carpet cleaner with a Bissell carpet cleaning machine ( BISSELL InstaClean Carpet Washer / Cleaner with OXY ) and it works as well as the proprietary Bissell cleaner - at a much, much cheaper price. The Pro-Kleen is cheaper by the bottle and the dilution ratio is far better (I use 50 mls of cleaner per tank as the Bissell InstaClean holds 1½ litres of water; that's 100 tankfuls per canister of Pro-Kleen). There's no difference in drying time between this carpet cleaning solution and the proprietary brands (Bissell or Vax), and there doesn't seem to be as much residue as the Vax cleaner leaves - in fact I see no evidence of any residue. After cleaning with this carpet cleaner, carpets not only look clean but they're also springier. As the dilution is so great, you might find it easier to decant this Pro-Kleen carpet cleaner into smaller bottles to make mixing in with water easier. Lifting up a five-litre canister to pour out only 50 mls (or 30 mls if your carpet cleaning machine only holds a litre of water and your carpeets are only lightly soiled) is not easy. After cleaned carpets are dry, the smell is mainly of clean carpet, not chemicals or synthetic perfumes or suchlike. That's just as it should be, but unusual for a 'professional' carpet cleaning solution. At such an excellent price, with free delivery into the bargain, you can't go wrong with this carpet cleaner.

I have previously bought this carpet detergent to use in my wonderful, old Maytag Agility carpet cleaner. I liked the fresh smell, but yes, it does smell the same as a hard floor detergent, F****, which I also like. The results on my 17 year old, high quality, 80% wool, cream carpet: nearly perfect. I was unable to source a new water tank for the Maytag, so I bought one of the 2017/2018 range of Vax carpet cleaners. It has a lesser motor (1200 watt Rapid Advance, Purple) and has a tiny mixer tank for the detergent and larger clean and dirty water tanks. The idea is that the carpet cleaner mixes the perfect solution for you. The problem is, how much of this non-Vax solution should you put in the mixer tank? I tried pre-mixing this solution with water and putting in both the mixer and clean water tanks. I cleaned the carpet twice, but I'm afraid that the few, light marks just didn't shift. Overall, the carpet looked brighter, but not really clean. Results may just be down to the machine that you use. I have given it 4 stars, but from my experience, it should probably be just 3.

I love this....I will be buying it again really soon. It's smells so nice and fresh. The smells last so long and it's so powerful. It's the best cleaning product I've brought. Better than the ones in the shops.

Couldn't be happier z doesn't foam much and leaves a very fresh smell after using the carpet washer. Great size so it will last you longer. Bottle very well packaged, no leaks. Cleans well and it's easy to use.

I have dogs and unfortunately carpet, this product cleans very well my carpet looks amazing unfortunately the scent does not last well and by time it dried the doggy smell resumed in the house

Used this several times it cleans well enough although I think like most struggled when the dog was ill on the carpet.generally does a good around job and leaves a nice fragrance. Goes a long way and better cleaning and value the previous cleaners.
