These heaters work faithfully day in and day out. I’ve been running one in another tank for about two years now without a single issue, which is exactly why I bought this one for a new setup in a different room. SUPPORT- I had some questions - I emailed the support that actually work for HYGGER and the responded the same day with REAL INFORMATION. Easily worth more than what I paid.

Extremely Dangerous Heater Failure – Killed My Fish and Put My Safety at Risk This heater catastrophically failed while fully submerged in my large trough system (as intended for normal operation). It overheated, melted internally, and began sending straight voltage through the water. This resulted in the loss of my fish and created a serious electrocution hazard that could have injured or killed me. This was NOT a case of misuse — the heater was properly installed, fully submerged, and operating in a controlled system. There was no exposure to air. The unit clearly malfunctioned. What makes this worse is the complete lack of customer support. I attempted to contact customer service multiple times and received no response. When a product fails in a way that endangers lives, the company should take immediate responsibility — silence is unacceptable. Aquarium heaters should fail safely. This one did not.

-TL;DR- Stop searching, buy Hygger, be happy. - These heaters are robust enough to keep my Golden Butterfly Koi pond a balmy 70°F all through the winter; even during extended drops as low as -10°F ambient air temp! I can walk outside with 6" of snow on the ground, and there's my pond, looking like a steamy, little oasis, with very happy, active koi swimming around. I have always been very pleased with the premium design and materials used in their products. For the first time ever, I can comment on the customer service they provide. I have purchased 3 of these 1000W heaters, among other things, from Hygger. I've only ever had an issue one time, and that was recently when one heater stopped working, for no apparent reason. I contacted Hygger via email and they responded so quickly, that I was shocked. After some troubleshooting attempts it was decided that the heater had malfunctioned. It may not have even been due to poor craftsmanship, it could have been a random power surge or whatever. Heck, sometimes stuff just breaks. Regardless, the customer care team immediately jumped into action and here I am, less than a week later with a brand new replacement heater. That's what I call amazing service. Thank you, Hygger. I have used a wide variety of Hygger brand products over the years, from indoor fish tanks, to outdoor koi ponds; I don't even bother searching beyond Hygger, and I recommend them to everyone I know.

Heater worked very well in my 55 gallon tank for 9 months. Then it started beeping and stopped heating--but the current temperature still showed correctly. Luckily, I noticed the beeping and had a backup heater handy. I tried three troubleshooting to let it cool and rinse it out, but it still didn't work. Hygger customer support was great. They sent me a new heater and it has been working well for a month now. I have several Hygger lights, pumps and heaters that have not had any other issues. If you're on the fence, definitely choose Hygger. Your fish and wallet will thank you. Their user manuals are generally not very clear, but AI can give you better instructions.

I've been running this one as a replacement to my old one of the same brand that lasted several years. Easy to install and set up. Has kept my 75 gallon tank +/- 1 deg once it caught up the first time.

The heater is in my 150 gallon stock tank for my turtle. I love that it regulates the temp and as a safety shut off. Easy to set up and use and was a good price point. Been using it for a few months now and have had no issues.

I've had this in a 150gal tank where it works great. It's been in use since Nov 2022, over 3 years now and still going. I would call that a win for my money. The temp stays constant. The only thing for me is that I don't have a great place for the controller but that is not a big deal as I have put it on a stand next to my 150gal.

Lo compre para un acuario marino mediano de 280 litros....chulada de calentador, hace correctamente su función al calentar el agua y medir la temperatura, lo único medio malo es que solo puedo configurar la temperatura en grados Fahrenheit y no tiene opción para grados Celsius que aquí en MX es lo que tenemos, pero como tengo un termómetro alterno para medir la temperatura y este si trae ambos pues me facilita la conversión y confirmar la correcta temperatura, su tamaño es un poco grande validen el espacio a donde ponerlo y su color anaranjado hace que resalte, pero si tienen opción de colocarlo en un filtro externo fuera de la pecera seria ideal. Lo recomiendo, a mi me gusto y funciono bastante bien....calienta el agua muy rápido.
