Gift for a friend.
She reports that they are working well!! She mixes it with her tea. This helps with the taste. Iron is known to be bitter.

Tastes bad BUT does what it's intended to!
For children with iron deficiency anemia, the flavor of the iron supplement has to be secondary to getting the condition addressed. We tried this one because the cost of prescription iron liquid was outrageously high, even with insurance. Does it taste good? NO, nor do any of the other liquid iron supplements. We use an oral dosing syringe (easy to accurately dose, holds liquid without dripping, smooth plunger, likeEZY DOSE Kids Baby Oral Syringe) and get it towards the back of the cheek.

Easy to add into kids drinks
As anyone who has a toddlers knows they are usually difficult to get a nutritious diet from being such picky eaters. I often worry that my toddlers are not getting the minerals and nutrients they need. I saw these and figured I'd give them a try. I just add a drop into their smoothies and they don't even notice a difference. There's really no taste mixed with something so it's really easy to add into their daily routine. I haven't noticed any bad side effects.

Tolerable But Not Great Tasting
My doctor wants me to be taking iron supplements and so far I have been taking pills. However, I hate taking pills!! So I thought I would get these to try and thought it would be nice to try a liquid version. Plus I heard the absorption rate is better.+Easy to take+Good amount of iron per serving+Decent price-I could not get the dropper to work initially, I had to fix it to get it to pick up the liquid out of the bottle-The taste. It wasn't horrible, but wasn't great either. In the future I will mask the flavor by adding it to a drink. All in all I might just go back to my pills.

Taste isn't as bad as it could be
These don't taste as bad as they could, but they still taste pretty bad. I don't think that's avoidable with a liquid iron though. I definitely do not recommend mixing them with a liquid, at least for an adult. Just squirt them in the back of your mouth and follow with a liquid. The taste may not be as much of an issue for infants or toddlers, as they are quite sweet.I'm severely deficient in iron, and I don’t think these drops on their own are a high enough dose to bring my iron levels up. Once my levels are back to normal I'll be switching back to them though, because they're much more gentle on my stomach than the high dose pills. They do seem like they'll be plenty for a maintenance dose.
