Faber-Castell Grip 2001 Eraser Caps (Pack of 4)

These are brilliant little erasers. I use them all the time and they last far longer than generic pencil top rubbers. I also buy those as back-ups, but they are very flimsy in comparison. This brand of eraser is typically superior and rubs out very effectively. There is no wobbling, bending, or breaking. What I love most about these is how they cover more of the pencil than others do, thus giving you far more control. Also, I use this feature to turn them into pencil lids (if that's the right word). I just pop them off the end of the pencil and push them on to the point end. It stops my pencils getting broken in a pencil case or just in general. I bought a small Faber Castell set a while back, which included triangular grip pencils, a sharpener and one of these erasers. Since then, I haven't looked back. Excellent brand all round.

I homeschool my kids and get through many Ticonderoga pencils every year, which we think are by far the best you can buy (and so did Roald Dahl, whose museum introduced us to that brand on a visit several years ago). Problem is, their erasers/rubbers are so good at erasing things that they wear down fairly easily. I was throwing away perfectly good pencils because they had lost their rubbers. Well, then I bought these instead. They fit tightly on the pencil for quite a long way down it, so unlike the little eraser caps I'm used to (that wiggled around on the end of the pencil when you used them), these are very firm, and erase a dream. I think I've bought about 25 of these eraser caps now. Truly a remarkable little product!

As a regular pencil user, these are very useful. Firstly, they are a very good eraser that fits snugly on any normal-sized pencil. Secondly, the length and snug fit means that you can put them on the point of your pencil as a protector so it doesn't break or snag in your pocket, and this makes them doubly useful.

Fortunately I bought these to protect the points of the drawing pencils which I want to carry, which they do very effectively allowing me to carry long pointed ones without breakage. I was less pleased with their function as an eraser. To be fair, they may work with hb pencils used for hand-writing, but made a horrible, smudgy mess of rubbing out a 2b drawing pencil. Also they are far smaller than they appear on the packaging, measuring just 4cm ( or 1.5 inches in old money) in length, so are not even any use as a pencil extender as far as I concerned. They are too narrow to take a fatter pencil- eg. the conte pierre noir- which is a pity as it would have been good not to have cocoon this lovely but exceedingly messy favourite in masking tape to travel. I am going to reluctantly give them four stars for preserving my pencil-point, but would urge any artist considering purchasing these to regard them as effective pencil caps for standard diameter pencils rather than as useful erasers.

Excellent. Keep pencil in notebook loop but rubber on end always wears out too quickly. These pencil top rubbers are great and give a clean finish, size means they’ll last ages. Would highly recommend.

Super product, but a bit loose on most standard pencils, so tends to fall off and get lost. Still, a good solution for musicians wanting pencils with long-lasting erasers that fit on music stands.

No more hassle in finding a rubber... And what I rubber. They are brilliant and leave no residue. They also come in handy to tone down a colour mistake in colouring books, when you suddenly realise that flower etc is just the wrong shade, a rub over with a pencil top rubber calms down the shade perfectly.. (This works on Prisma colours too)

Perfectas, las uso con el lápiz 2b para dibujar y corregir sobre la marcha los pequeños defectos, además así proteges la punta del lápiz, que si es muy afilada siempre tiende a romperse. También las he usado para proteger la punta de algún rotulador al que se le ha perdido el tape. Mi hija también las lleva en el estuche junto con el lápiz y le resultan muy útiles. Como borrador es quizá un poco rígido y para grandes áreas quizá es mejor utilizar un borrador más blando, pero para pequeños detalles y para proteger las puntas de los lápices son geniales. Volvería a comprarlas sin duda
