Rubbing alcohol: Versatile stuff, great price!
Rubbing alcohol is great for a variety of uses. From disinfectant to stain remover, this stuff is the business!Tests have shown that the 70% alcohol solution is actually BETTER than 90-99.9% for antibacterial use on a range of organisms, owing to a slower evaporation rate that exposes these organisms to the bactericidal, viricidal and fungicidal effects for longer.Personally, I bought this primarily to clean soap and shaving cream scum off my shaving kit and provide light disinfectant work. For this job it excels. However, rubbing alcohol has long been used (though not exclusively) for:- Bathroom cleaner- Grass stain remover- Grease remover- Adhesive remover- Chewing gum remover- Tick, flea and leech killer/remover- Trainer deodoriser- Window cleaner- Fungicidal treatment for feet- Makeup brush cleaner- Spectacle cleaner/sanitiser- Preventing freezing in windscreen wiper bottle- etc. etc. etc.The list really does go on and on.At this concentration (70%) I wouldn't be using this stuff to clean electronics. I use a 99.9% solution for this, that can (if necessary) go to work directly on circuitry and contacts. For the price, you really can't go wrong for most tasks. I've been using it regularly for a few months and have only used about 50ml! A small amount truly goes a long way.

A HAZ by any other colour woule smell as sweet... or some such outher pretentious piffle.
Haz 500 ml Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol First Aid Anti SepticSold by: Just Beauty UK£3.99 P+P 0OK. this tub/bottle whatever, worked out at the best value for money of all the combinations. and with 0 P+P made a really good purchase.the reason I've docked a star is that the picture is quite clearly BLUE. What I got was GREEN.I can't tell from the screen picture or description if there is anything other than the water and the rubbing alcohol in the blue bottle, but there definitely is in the green bottle.Ironically if i was using this on my self I wouldn't have given a tinkers-cuss. As it is I'm using it on phone screens and laptop screens and tablet screens and so on - you get the picture. So I'd happily risk contaminating myself and am more worried about 'hazing' a screen.go figure.Any road up - I used a vey VERY small amount in a lot of water. I'm guessing roughly 1 part this alcohol to 25-30 parts water. This didn't seem to harm the screens and and worked reasonably well.I'll aim to get to about a 1 in ten solution eventually. but will take it slowly to get there. Each Time I'll check the screens for damage. and asses if the increased strength makes cleaning easier. Incidentally I'm spraying the solution on to a cloth first and testing a corner of the screen. (for anyone else who might think to try things out). If I get to a good cleaning mix before the 1 in ten obviously I'll stop there.I have a range of other items I looking to clean but on the whole I think this bottle will last easily a year. so I'm quite please so far. Obviously Id' have had more faith if the bottle had been blue when I arrived. We are naturally thrown in this country because 'rubbing alcohol' is not widely known about/available. AND IT MOST DEFINITELY IS NOT WHITE SPIRIT< TURPS, OR METHS WITHOUT THE COLOUR.ACID TEST: would I buy again/recommend? - YES

Highly recommended for pressing eyeshadows and a million and one other things!
I bought the Haz 500ml Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol to press loose eyeshadow pigments into pans and I was having huge problems trying to find any stockists here in the UK. It works like an absolute dream and you only use a little at a time so this good sized bottle is going to last me a very long time - though I do keep finding plenty of other uses for it such as cleaning my Dermaroller and giving my makeup kit a good wipe down. That being said, a little goes a long way, so it should be quite a while before I need to re-order. If I can beat my new found makeup pressing addiction that is! It also works a treat on compacts that are a little broken or have too much fallout, a quick spritz from a small spray bottle, leave overnight and they are as good as new. It is also useful to have some form of binder that you can mix with the alcohol for use with pigments/powders that are mica based, I use Pure Glycerine for this as it is just as effective as coconut or jojoba oils but is very cheap in comparison.I am sure that I will find myriad more uses for this product and will definitely re-order. Highly recommended!

Perfect for its multitude of purposes!
I have reached for this on multiple occasions, and can say it is a good product (just as stated in the description). The large bottle size means it will last a while, which is good in terms of money saving. The bottle arrived on time, well packaged with no leakage.Having almost finished this bottle of rubbing alcohol, I have now come back to update my review. I have been surprised by how many times this product has proven useful, as the whole household seems to make regular use of it.Rubbing alcohol can be used for so many things, a quick Google search lists everything from cleaning venetian blinds to removing animal ticks. I have used it for sterilising utensils, to cleaning sticker glue off of mirrors, to cleaning my phone, to mention a few. I would recommend using this with cotton wool or clean rags (depending on what the purpose is). Very happy with the purchase and would recommend.I always try to leave informative reviews to help others make better purchases. Please let me know if you find this review useful by indicating below.
