One of the great things is that you don't have to keep buying ...
Hardly ever review, but I just had to with this. One of the great things is that you don't have to keep buying these creams that are ridiculously expensive, and usually make your skin feel weird or look blotchy and ingrown, which is especially bad for the face. It's genuinely very easy to use, and it's a little painful, but I just get an ice cube for a few seconds, and it's fine :) I told my mum about it, and she bought one as well. She didn't need any numbing, so maybe I'm just sensitive. It travels well and doesn't take up loads of space in my tiny uni room. It makes my upper lip go slightly red afterwards, but I had that with the creams as well, I just add a bit of tea tree, but to be honest, it clears up pretty quickly, especially if I'm showering afterwards! I definitely did not and will not buy creams after this, it's long-term, easy, practical and not abrasive for the skin. Strong recommend :)

A must have beauty tool.
How come I never noticed how hairy my face was getting? With the advent of threading, friends kept bouncing up with remarkably smooth faces.. I didn’t fancy going to a salon for hair removal but my peach fuzz has begun to annoy me so I tried this dapper device. It takes a bit of getting used to and there is an art to the practice. You bend the wand so it is in a loop shape and run it over the face squeezing the loop in the direction of the hair growth. The coiled metal wand somehow grabs the hairs and pulls them out at the root.Yes, it does sound painful, and indeed it can be painful. It takes a lot of practice. But once mastered is effective and completely clears away hair from the entire face.Yes your skin will go red or be slightly swollen for a while afterwards, but this can also boost circulation and if done hygenically will give an after spa glow.I mention hygiene. If you do not have a clean face and hands and the wand is not sterilised (I use rubbing alcohol) there is a risk of turning your face into an infected blotchy mess. So keep it clean.I use witchhazel or a mild astringent toner on my face afterwards and have no problems.Only problem is it is addictive, I will quite happily sit through a film rolling this gadget about my face and end up as smooth as a dolphin.CAUTION: careful near eye area.. I once got a section of my eyelashes caught in this and that could have ended in disaster. In summary... yes it hurts. What is beauty without pain?

Worth the money
It works well. The finer wire which you don’t get with cheaper alternatives really finds a lot more hair and skin feels smoother I’m really pleased with it

Good product but really hurts !
Bought this product to remove peach fuzz and it easily does with a little practice of technique. However for the love of god it hurts. I am used to regular eye brow, lip and occasional bikini line waxing but I just can’t tolerate doing this to myself. I even tried icing the area first, having a few gins or applying germaline first in the hope this would help but to no avail, so three stars but only cause it hurts sooooo much !

Not worth it
Awful product. Does not work on thick facial hair. Do not waste your money

Really good once you get the hang of using it
Really good once you get the hang of using it. But I found that it took quite a few practices and I almost gave up by following the video instructions. The video shows the model using the epiwand in a downward (n shape) and moving the little tips in an inward direction across her face.In reality, I found that using the epiwand in the opposite direction (U shape) and moving the little tips in an inward and outward direction whilst keeping the epiwand as close to my skin as possible worked much better. Using it in a U shape worked best for my chin area and using it the other way around worked for my upper lip area.Try both these ways and you will feel it pluck the hairs out as you move it across your face. I use it on my upper lip and chin areas only. It leaves your skin smooth with hair removed from the root which lasts longer than the battery epilators which I have purchased twice previously and which cut the hair above the skinline only sometimes leaving a stubble feeling... ughhh!

Quality over quantity
I didn't think it was really possible to get different kinds of these things. I assumed that the wire etc would be standard. I was wrong. I used to have one of the cheaper ones and it was really quite painful for me to use so I gave up. Bought this one as I couldn't find the one I had and it is so much better. The wire is just more flexible so it really grabs the hairs properly so much less pain, grabs more at a time and is easier to bend. Don't try the cheaper ones.
