Leave overnight between coats
I have just used this paint in antique white to paint a pine bedside table. I painted part of it and waited 4 hrs before doing a second coat. The paint was perfectly dry to the touch before I put the second coat on but while painting it seemed to lift some of the chalk out of the 1st coat leaving me with a rough finish that I had to lightly sand smooth afterwards. When I painted the rest of the bedside table I put the first coat on in the evening which meant it was left overnight. When I did the second coat the next morning it went on perfectly. I would advise ignoring the 4hrs it says on the tin and leaving it longer to avoid more work. Other than that the white paint is nice to work with, great consistency and lovely finish. I painted the drawer front in winter grey. The paint was a totally different consistency to the white. It was very runny and harder to work with.

Great option for upcycling old furniture but used more than expected!
This was a wee test project to see how well this paint when on before upcycling 2 x pine wardrobes and 2 x chest of drawers. I must say that it is particularly easy to use with very little, if any, preparations required. Obviously, as with all painting projects, the surface has to be clean and grease free. I wiped over our pine table with some £ shop white spirit, and that helped to prepare the surface by taking off the beeswax coating on our coffee table. It only took about 2.5 hours of plodding with a mini roller and brush to cover all the upper surfaces, and side panels. I was in no rush as I find it quite therapeutic and this is a job that was started at 8 o'clock at night when the kids were settled. I did the table 'feet' and lower surfaces on the second night, after allowing the table to dry and flipping it over. I would say that the paint went on better with a brush, rather than a roller, which left it looking patchy. Also, the brush finish looked better to me in all respects, but this meant paint went on thicker, and coverage was lessened considerably. Other reviewers may well have more experience in this area, or have different results, but that's just my opinion. The chalk paint DOES chip easily, and you will have to seal it to prevent this happening. I still have to do this and will post a few more pictures when I've used the recommended Furniture Finishing Wax to seal the table. There's about 10% of the tin left and I'll need to use this to give the tabletop a 3rd coat prior to sealing. Overall, a nice easy solution for a quick (or relaxing) upcycle project. I've only given 4* for coverage, but other than that, it's a big thumbs up, especially for an upcycling novice like me. Update 17th November 2019: I finally got round to putting a protective layer over the top of the chalk paint. I chose to use a clear Ronseal Varnish instead of the recommended Furniture Finishing Wax. For me this was to ensure a good hardy child proof seal over the top, and I am overall very happy with the results. There's been no damage to the table with the day to day hitting or banging of toy dinosaurs or anything else on the table. The final pictures uploaded will hopefully give you an idea of how our table now looks.

Beauitful for upcycling old furniture.
Beauitful for upcycling old furniture. Having never up cycling anything before I was skeptical how well this would work but this paint was so easy, quick to dry, non smelling and looks beauitful. It turned my dull dirty white drawers into a beautiful antiquey French white. I used half a can, using 2 coats of this paint on the drawers. It was easy to use, thick so ensures good coverage. I also finished it off with the furniture wax for some durability which is also brilliant but not 100% necessary if you want to keep the original finish.

Decent furniture paint
Good product with a nice finish but don’t count one one coat as definitely needs a second

Great, easy to use paint - restores old furniture brilliantly.
I had my parents coming to visit for a few days and only had a really old dining table and chairs that had been in the shed for a few years! It was in a terrible state and needed repairing. I fixed it all the decided to paint it. I wanted a pure white look and this paint was great. You can see in the picture the before, 1 coat and then 2 coats. All in all it took 2 coats on 4 chairs and 1 table and I used 1 and a half tins of the 750ml option. The coverage is great and is easy to apply, brush washes with water and the whole process is very easy. The table and chairs were all coated in a light varnish before I started and I didn’t rub it down first, just went straight in no problem. Really recommend this product, it’s great. It has a powder feel to it after drying which doesn’t bother me. The only negative I could possible add is that any metal placed on the paint leave a metallic mark but apart from that, brilliant.

Luego he lijado algunas partes.
