Because of the consistency your eyes will be a bit blurry for ten mins or so after, so you have to wait for that to go off, but that’s just the soothing, cooling liquid taking time to ease away and I just lay back and enjoy the amazing soothing feeling! The bottle is a bit fiddly and yes, I too get drops on my face, but I don’t care! I bought these nighttime gel drops thinking that the effect of hydration would be better than the normal daytime ones. I found that for me, this wasn't so. They seem to be no different all be it that they are a gel formula. I use the Optrex daytime dry eye formula drops that I find are fine for my daytime needs and I also use them at night. The higher cost of the nighttime gel drops seems to be a waste of money not working any better.
