DAS White 1 kg Air Hardening Modelling Clay, Non Bake, Ready To Use, Suitable for All Ages, Ideal for Professionals & Hobbyists

This was such a great block of clay for so little money. It held its shape nicely during modelling, and without any cracking during the drying! Nor any noticeable shrinking! No need to put it into the oven, it'll dry on its own.I've used it to make a sort of slab about 1 inch thick: it took 3-4 hours of work before the surface started to solidify, 1 day before it was solid enough to be handled without risking to change the shape, 2 days before I could turn it upside down, and by day 7 it was 100% solid throughout (room humidity: 45%, about 20 Celsius). The rest of the clay is still in the bag and -- it's been many days -- still soft and malleable, ready to be used as fresh.To be safe, I've applied gesso to the surface of the clay, once dried, and I've not had any issue painting over it with acrylic paint. There wasn't any absorption or anything unwanted.Overall, if you want to get started with clay, this is a good one. It's genuinely fun, relaxing, (cheap), and not that messy!

air tight storage : when it arrived it was definitely very very air tight and the clay was amazingly soft but a little bit tough but nothing that a little needing couldn’t fixmess : it’s not messy for me personally at all as I use acrylic sheets and my table to work with the clay and it hasn’t left any stains and is very easy to clean/remove and it hasn’t made too much of a mess on my clothing eithereasy to use : I will say that as a beginner it is very beginner friendly and it’s quite easy to work with however it can get very messy and if your hands aren’t moist/damp then it may dry a bit whilst you’re working with it which makes it have quite a few cracks so if this was something you was doing as a hobby it would be great but if you wanted something that was absolutely perfect with no cracks then maybe this isn’t the best clay for you but for beginners like me it’s amazing 😁 I’ll definitely be buying again !Overall it was a great buy, it’s just a bit quick at drying hence the 4 stars but other than that it’s perfect

Great product for the price-point and an ideal medium for kids. Ordered for my 12 year old who wanted to make some decorations. We got the white variety to make it easy for painting. It appears quite grey when wet but does dry to a white colour. We found it easy to sculpt with, adding a little water when needed.We've used it to make pots and little hanging decorations and have found it great for that. We've had no issues with the okay cracking and have found it pliable and functional for the purposes we required.

Great product that dries in the air.Smaller pieces will dry quicker and start to become brittle (and unmaleable) more quickly.Larger lumps of clay, give you more time

OK anyone wanting to repair an item of stoneware or china ware you can use this and omg so easy to use , i was having flashbacks to the school days in the 70's when we use to try and make pots this stuff isa god send and we highly recommend it

Used this product to make air dry tree decorations/trinket dishes/ candle holders. You get a lot of product for a cheap price, however it is hard to work with. It’s difficult to smooth the surface of it and it is hard to stick two pieces together. I found that the Mont Marte clay is much easier to work with.
