Can't beat Schwalbe products but the packers folded this in half to fit in the box. Numpties!

If, like me, you tend to ride your MTB on the road as much as on the trails, then these tyres are for you. They still look like MTB tyres, with knobblies on the edge for cornering on loose or muddy terrain, but the middle strip is flatter for a smoother ride on the roads. Super cheap, and feel solid so far. Like most Schwalbe tyres, they are a little tight to get on (I had to push the last three inches into place using a lever to save my sore thumbs), but nothing too bad. I'm not great at roadside repairs, but I managed OK. Highly recommended, especially at this price. Fast delivery too.

Early days but so far so good, got out today to very muddy trails and they managed some grip on that sludge. I liked that on the road, you can see you're rolling on a thin strip of rubber and as a result they're quiet and great rolling for this kind of tyres. I rode them to work too and traction in the wet was no concern.18 months update : They’ve been perfect on my gravel wheels, no puncture on 90% off road use. Tested on a variety of surfaces, mud, sandy, dry stony, sharp gravel and they’ve been great for me, still look new too.

These are seriously good all weather tyres for hybrid bikes, ideal for riding on multiple surfaces. They have good sized tread but not as much as a mountain bike tyre so give good grip on looser surfaces. They have slightly more rolling resistance than Schwalbe Marathon so might not be the best choice for road touring, but probably down to personal preference. However I got a pair of these for the same price as a single Marathon, and Marathon tyres require a certain technique to change them whereas Land Cruiser are much easier.

Much better for me than the road version of this. I initially wanted to use this only as a winter tyre to increase traction but I have now changed my mind and also bought one for the front. It seems more resistant to leaks although that might be coincidental.

I have had these tyres for 6 months now and I wish I had known about them before. They give good grip on the rougher ground, coping with anything so far on my rides across fields and unmade pathways. On the roads, the rolling resistance is very slight giving a very good compromise between road riding and rough riding. There has been no noticeable wear so far, so I think they will last a long time. Obviously, if you look after your tyres, they will look after you, so you should get many miles out of them .
