![Cowboy Bebop - Complete BD Collection [Blu-ray] [Region B]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/819FFpc5-9L.jpg)

The crew of the Bebop is once again ready to clean up space by bringing bad guys to justice and trying to make some cash while doing it!Back at last in high-definition, this second print run contains a reversible cover as well as containing bonus content never available outside of Japan before including the Ein's Summer Holiday short.Extras / Episode List:COWBOY BEBOP EPISODES 1 TO 26BONUS- Audio commentaries on episodes 1, 5, 10, 17 and 24- Japanese commercials for Cowboy Bebop- Music video for Tank! the theme tune- Tank! Remix by DJ Food video- Ein's Summer Holiday short- Clean end credit sequence Review: 3, 2, 1, Let's jam! - What can I say? Cowboy Bebop is easily my favourite anime series and watching it again on blu-ray made it even better. This series is 26 episodes (20 minutes each) long with each episode having its own story, with the exception of a few times where there are two parts, and there is a small overarching plot that only surfaces in the last few episodes. What's the story? In an alternate reality where space travel between planets is possible, the show revolves around a group of four people (and a dog), collecting bounties in exchange for rewards. Along their journey, you will discover the pasts of each character as well as what lies in stock for them. This Blu-ray is probably the best one to buy since the other one costs twice as much for all the episodes and comes in two sets. The HD remaster looks phenomenal considering the original series was entirely hand drawn, however, Cowboy Bebop was originally in 4:3 aspect ratio, so when you watch it on a widescreen, you will have two black bars on the side. I didn't find this to be a problem considering the alternative would be to either crop the image or stretch it, neither of which sound appealing. The English dub for this show is actually better than the Japanese one in my opinion and the soundtrack is outstanding, perfectly blending jazz, blues, and rock to fit any scenario, this is definitely one of the best musical scores created for an anime. This is a series that I would recommend to anyone, anime fan or not, since it is a masterpiece that rivals the best of what you would see on TV or in a film. Go buy this, now. Review: Fantastic show, amazing extras, great packaging - This is going to be a review of the case and extra content because I assume that, if you are thinking about buying this show, you've already seen it and have decided you liked it enough to purchase the physical copy. This thing is fantastic. It holds all 26 episodes in one case that is the same size as a regular one disc Blu-ray case. The Blu-ray comes with several extras including a full length music video of the opening song and audio commentaries from both the Japanese and English cast on several episodes of the show. The Japanese cast did commentaries on episodes 1, 17 and 24 and they are some of the funniest commentaries I have ever heard and is definitely worth watching if you don't mind subtitles. The English cast did commentaries on episodes 5 and 10 and these are more focused on the themes of the show and some incite into how they came to work in the business and is actually quite interesting. The show is still in it's 14:9 aspect ratio but has been cleaned up for it's stunning Blu-ray visuals. All in all it's a must get if you're a fan of the show.

Watch Me!
A true Shinichirō Watanabe series. Cool, slick and just like samurai Champloo it's a great watch. Full of comedy, action and great story. A must see, if your new to Shinichirō Watanabe, watch this and you'll never stop watching a genius, just as Hideo Kojima with the MG series, Shinichirō is the same kind of genius

More like 4.5
I purchased the blu ray collection after previously owning the standard 'remix' edition that came out a few years ago. Mainly to get an upgrade in picture quality and sound etc. It succeeds... mostly Firstly for such a highly praised anime, the collection is rather....bare bones. It contains 4 discs and a reversible cover. Not too heavy on the extras and not much else like the american releases got. However the overall updated picture and sound is very good. Its a shame they didn't update the ratio. It's all in 4:3 like the original series so you have some quite intrusive black bars on each side. I understand that's how the original was, but in that respect my old 'remix' collection has the edge as it takes up the whole screen. I don't need to tell you how amazing the series is, because thats pretty obvious. But in terms of a high definition update, this is mostly good. I recommend it, just wish it didn't feel so lazy. There was so much potential to have lots of extra stuff. 4.5/5

Great Show, Blu-ray Could Be Better
I finally watched Cowboy Bebop on Netflix a few years ago and it instantly pulled me in. It's such a fun show, but also has a surprising amount of depth. However, I will focus on reviewing the set. The picture is good, despite the bit rate being lower than it should be - for some reason, commentaries are on duplicate versions of the episodes, wasting disc space, and bear in mind this is just 4 50GB discs here, as opposed to the 7 50GB discs the original Japanese release got. While the original release was a digibox, this is just a slim blu-ray case, which is fine by me. Picture is 1080i, which isn't a problem if you have a decent player (I find Panasonic players do a fantastic job of de-interlacing the image, with no visible horizontal lines), and the 4:3 aspect ratio is preserved. One sloppy mistake: the episodes are incorrectly labelled on two discs, which really should have been addressed on this second run. But there we go, I suppose.

Top Quality
It's amazing how good this show looks on Blu-Ray if anyone is having any doubts about quality it is top-notch. The extras are amazing for any fans and the show overall is one of the best things I've ever watched, Watanabe is a god among men. For new and old fans alike See ya later Space Cowboy

u need this in your life
Watched the movie recently and then watched this ....How on earth i missed this i do not know. I enjoyed the characters as much as a final fantasy 7 game. Its the only comparrison i can think of becuase i still remember how much impact that game had on me back in the day. And i think im right in saying this came out in 98. just after. Bebop is my fav thing right now. 2016!!!! If you missed this way back... buy it...this could have been made recently as it has dated sooooooo well. music is fantastic too. you do have to change the screen size but thats no prob. I have top of the range sony and this sings on it.

Image quality and package etc. is good. Only problem is english subtitles are different from english dubbing, so watching in english with english subs can be disturbing.
