Many misinformed reviewers of this product complain about the scent being very short lived , the fragrance itself is very pleasant old school barbers in Bond Street London kind of feel . It is not meant to be a night out fragrance I.e long lasting . It is meant to be an “after a shave finishing product “ ie cooling and soothing a freshly shaved face , this it does in spades provided you have shaved carefully and with skill and don’t have a few nicks , this stuff is excellent it really makes the skin tingle when applied to a freshly shaved face , a bit like cold water but without the shock , the soothing nature comes from the eucalyptus in it .I really think at £10 this is a very good value for money product .it does the job of cooling and soothing the face immediately after your shave and for that it gets a 10/10 from me , remember this is NOT designed to be an after shave long lasting night out fragrance .It is designed to be part of a man’s shaving ritual ( preferably with a traditional grown up de razor ) not these 5 blade rip off priced plastic modern ones .Buy it and use it as it was intended and enjoy …it’s really that good 100 % recommend from me

I was really surprised at how good this smells especially for the price, and certainly would opt for the 400ml bottle next time. This is an up to date fresh smell that also feels great on the skin. My only criticism is that the smell disappears very quickly and is slightly too understated. I would have liked it to be a little stronger.

Excellent value for money. The ingredients do perk up the skin, even if you haven't just shaved. The scent is fresh and clean.

Was initially sceptical due to the price. Even cheaper than Old Spice! Read the reviews and decided to give it a go.Unscrewed the bottle and had a sniff. Crikey, it reminded me of 80's Christmas present "aftershave". Tried a few drops on, and the scent actually became fresh and pleasant. So far, so good. I stropped a straight-razor, did the business, and slapped on a handful. This is where it got good. Yes it does have a sting, it's aftershave, but less so than other brands. This was quickly replaced by an amazing cooling, tingling sensation that was lovely and refreshing, and nothing like anything else I've tried. Hours later, my face was still soft and fresh feeling. I like the subtle barber-shop scent, but this fades fast, so if you wanted, you could spray on some JPG (or whatever the devil it is you young types like these days), with no worries of it clashing. Also perfect for an evening shave, if you don't want to be sat in a cloud of overpowering fragrance while watching 'The Goodies' on Betamax.I'm glad I made this discovery, and will be using after every shave.

It's necessary to separate the product's efficacy as an aftershave lotion from its scent. As a soothing, conditioning lotion, it's great, giving a pleasant fresh feel. The scent, however, is rather less agreeable. It smells cheap, albeit sort of clean, slightly sweet, and a bit soapy. It's not horrible but it's certainly not a fine fragrance. Fortunately the smell isn't very strong and it soon wears off.

Anything bearing this Italian name is premium quality.

Well, I'm throwing my colognes away and declaring this as MY aftershave.I have a full-set beard, but I use a safety razor to keep my neck clean. However, I have very sensitive skin on my neck and it's really rare that I have a shave without any irritation and at least once a week, I end up going into work with a few red patches even when I used Nivea post-shave balm (it was far worse when I used cartridge razors). This has changed all of that!After splashing my neck with cold water, I put a splash of this on and feel a slight tingle and an almost immediate tightening of my skin as this tones it all up. The menthol adds to this tingle and gives it a really nice yet subtle scent. A good aftershave is a really important step in a man's shaving routine - it closes up the pores and acts as a subtle antiseptic. It's not about smelling like a brothel.The smell is "classic" - very fresh, clean, and invigorating but not powerful enough to make anyone sharing a lift with you cough. I'm of the school of thought that an aftershave should entice someone to get closer to you, not make their eyes water. Even though this is even more subtle than all aftershaves that I've used in the past, I prefer it. The smell doesn't last all day, but it just makes me feel "clean", which DOES last all day. Also, it's unbelievably cheap!HIGHLY recommended - I'm certainly always going to have a bottle of this in my bathroom cabinet.
