DIY Repair Kit - compatible for Vauxhall Renault Nissan 2 button remote key refurbishment

I had a broken unlock button on my fob, so I purchased this kit. It was brilliant. I de-soldered the broken button and soldered on the new button, then reassembled the fob in the new case. It took me about 15 minutes in total. The new button was a perfect fit. It's like a brand new key!I see that some people on here are a bit negative because they don't understand that if a button is broken then you need to use a soldering iron. I didn't have one so I borrowed one. If you glue or sellotape the bits together then it will work for a while, and then it will fail again - it has to be soldered to be a permanent fix.Sometimes when you get a replacement part like this you might need to use a knife to gently trim back the circuit mounting points, if they are a bit too snug. Yeah, this happens, it's no big deal, it's common when replacing parts to sometimes have to make a slight adjustment. If this kind of thing is frightening or going to trigger you, then give this item to a mate and ask them to fix it for you instead! ;)

Worked Well

Case buttons a bit stiff but overall very pleased. Used to rebuild a pair of Vauxhall van keys that had literally deteriorated to the point of being unusable.The supplied replacement switches seemed genuine OEM quality and worked perfectly. Not sure what the people giving bad reviews for these switches are saying complaining they are hard to fit - what do people expect? it's an SMD solder repair job, get someone competent to do it!

Great fit for renault trafic 06. As per the other review here, there's no need to solder the complete new buttons on, unless of course the complete button console has snapped off the circuit board. If your outer black plastic button has broke, simply replace the plastic unit. If your inner white push buttons have also disassembled themselves, as mine did, simply take the white push button section off the supplied new button units by lifting one pressed metal edge with the tip of a wood drill bit/a fine blade or similar. Be careful to catch the silver flat contact as it falls out (This silver flat contact will only work one way round - so be sure to put it back the right way round, or youll have to dissassemble it all again). Put it all onto your old soldered button unit the same way you got it off by pressing the steel back into place. A touch fiddly as already stated by another, but easily done in 20-30 mins. Recommend.

For a renault trafic, i had file the pcb down to fit in the case, and cut out 1 of the rubber bumpers inside. Not the end of the world but risky business as i only have 1 key for the van, and if i slipped filing it it could have been wrecked. Once fitted it is reasonable quality though. So 3 stars.

Both keys for my Renault traffic had deteriorated. It got to the point of pushing my nail into the opening where the buttons had deteriorated. I kept putting it off thinking I had to get new keys and have them programmed which would cost in excess of £400. Saw these and thought I'd give it a try it works perfectly. You don't have to have the little blocks soldered back on that contain the pushbutton you just have to take the little pushbuttons off of the supplied little square buttons. It's a bit fiddly but with patience it's easy. Test it before you put the keys back together and you're noticed the little red light to action the locking works fine. Absolutely fantastic. Saved a fortune. A huge thank you :)

It fitted really well. I bought it to repair my shell for my Renault trafic key. There were no issues changing over straightforward swap no problem withe the circuit board straight in and swapped the key blade, 5 minutes job done. The kitI received had only one of the small buttons,as it happened I didn't need to swap mine over.

If you have a2006/07 vivaro do not buy this. As you can see from my photo the key casing is a completely different shape and it will not fit. The key casing with blade inserted is what I bought here. The casing without the blade is my old key! I did try to make it fit as i was desperate and I ended up breaking the new casing so I can't even return it. Absolute waste of money and I wish I had read the reviews before buying. I don't know why amazon keep allowing these to be sold on the premise of them fitting model years 1-14.

Als ich für unseren Vivaro 2 neue Schlüsselcover wollte, weil die Originalen zum Teil sehr verschlissen waren, habe ich mich auf die suche gemacht.Für mich war auch noch ein Kriterium dieses Set zu kaufen, da hier auch eine Batterie und die Schalter für die Platine dabei waren.Als die Schlüssel dann da waren habe ich mit einer 1Euro Münze die Originalen Schlüssel geöffnet und die Platine umgesteckt. Einfach beim alten Raus, in den neuen Rein.Dann die Batterie noch eingesetzt und den Schlüsselbart oder wie man das Metallteil nennt aus dem alten Schlüssel rausgezogen und in den neuen geschoben. Dies ging zwar etwas streng, aber soll ja auch nicht rausfallen.Nach dem Umbau habe ich dann den Deckel drauf geklipst und ausprobiert.Funktionierte alles super so dass ich die 2 Extra Taster jetzt mal aufbewahre.Für jeden der so einen Schlüssel hat und diesen erneuern möchte kann ich nur dieses Kit empfehlen.Anleitung benötigt man hier nicht, denn es ist alles ziemlich logisch 1 zu 1 so wie man schön sagt.

Plastica di buona qualità, ed i pulsanti utilissimi (spesso quando la plastica esterna si rompe anche i pulsanti si rompono o sono fortemente usurati, cambiarli non fa male). Certo tenete presente che serve un pò di manualità (ed uno stagnatore) per sostituire i pulsanti. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo.
