This thing works.
Have been thinking about buying this for several months. To be honest, the price put me off but I’m delighted I did. Two weeks and already experiencing huge improvements! Surprised and happy. I find it very easy to use and it’s been reliable, too. Always suspected I wasn’t doing my kegels properly. The feed back really helps me get them right and I am definitely seeing the benefits. Worth the money to be able to sneeze without crossing my legs first.

Not made to last - and no replacement offered
I bought this product a number of years ago. I used it a handful of times, then was advised by a pelvic health physio to stop using until I sorted out some pelvic floor issues I had. However she advised to keep it, as it would be useful later down the line in my recovery. I got to that point, but when I got Elvie out again, I couldn’t charge it. When I tried to charge, it would get excessively hot. It wouldn’t connect to my phone either. I contacted customer care. It seems to be a known fault when it won’t fully charge or connect to a device - it’s listed on their website. Within 2 years you can have a replacement. I was shocked that Elvie as a company knows full well that their electronic devices only have a short shelf life and will stop working after 2 years, at which point you’re expected to fork out £170 for another one! Why not make something to last (not least for environmental reasons) or create a device that can be repaired? If you’re considering buying this device be warned - it’s not a long term investment. It’s a lot of money for something which will last 2 years max.

Nice exercise programmes and a nice bit of kit, if a bit pricey
Straightforward to use. Takes you through different exercises which change as you progress. Nice exercise programmes and a nice bit of kit, if a bit pricey.

It's great... but not quite what I thought it was! Biofeedback device, not muscle stimulator
So, this is a great product; easy to use and set up, very well designed in terms of case / charging etc. I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars in part because I misunderstood what it is. That was probably my own fault, but just in case anyone else makes the same error... This gives you biofeedback, not direct muscle stimulation. By that I mean you contract your own pelvic floor with the Elvie in, and then you watch the app 'game' on your phone and it tells you (by a little ball moving up and down) when you are contracting and how hard you are contracting. I had actually already tried a different biofeedback method on the advice of the physio (much more basic, but also much cheaper!) and it hadn't worked for me. My muscles are so weak I couldn't make the darn thing move at all. The Elvie is actually much more sensitive and I can get some feedback, but my muscles are so weak I am not sure it is going to do enough for me even with a lot of perseverance. I have already tried doing pelvic floor exercises for 6 months and watched my poor physio's face as she keeps saying "ummm... yes well, I think maybe I felt something..." at every follow up appointment! So I have ended up also buying what I thought the Elvie was - i.e. a stimulator. With that I can feel the muscles properly contracting, so it should build my muscle strength. Hopefully once I have something approaching a normal muscle I can maintain and strengthen further using the Elvie as it is much, much nicer to use. That was probably all too much information, but in the hope it helps someone, there you go!

Great motivation and it works, helps build confidence
Good design, I was sceptical about this but read about it in Good Housekeeping and thought what the hell give it a go. Very pleased at design, instructions and the App really help encourage you to use it correctly. Very impressed and would recommend.

Doesn’t last…
I purchased this off the back of a recommendation in Invisible Women, I used it a handful of times and it worked well. I put it away due to moving, meant to start using it again but time got away from me. I’m now pregnant, so it felt the right time to start using it again… if only. The charging box works, the trainer does not. It will not connect to any device (and I assume it’s not charging as the light remains on no matter how long it’s plugged in). I’ve troubleshooted according to the steps online, and I got in touch with Elvie to ask for their advice, with no luck. Unfortunately I purchased in June 2022 so I’m outside of the warranty period, Elvie offered me a frankly embarrassing 10% off a future purchase. I was really happy to support a female business, but if the products don’t last then what’s the point.

Easy to use, good design and great idea
Very easy to use, no connection issues as previous reviews had written, needs charging as soon as it’s received and lights up to charge and lights off when charged. App easy to use and follow and I’m hoping for good results.

Good device if it actually worked - ends up being frustrating
This product is a clever design and if it worked consistently would be an amazing. I have done absolutely everything as advised in order to sync the device with the phone’s blood tooth and Elvie app. It has not and will not connect, I have charged the device, deleted the old Elvie and and re- downloaded and it simply will not register any of the ‘squeezes’, it simply doesn’t work and consequently is a very frustrating decide to use.
