I didn't notice any reddish tones. But, I believe, it would be somewhat too dark for honey blond hair. My hair is dark blond, and it goes perfectly with my type of hair color. I hope you can find something lighter that would work for you, since it is a really good eyebrow pencil. As a matter of fact, after trying numerous eyebrow pencils over the years, this is my all-time favorite.
