Great USB drive.
I have a few of them and they are really fast. However, they are not suitable for booting the system, at least I have a problem with them on several systems qubes, unix and linux variants Great for transferring video or audio files.

Pen drive
Ultra fast performance but can get a little warm when in use

Fast but fragile
Really fast for a USB stick but it does heat up fast and it's wrapped in cheap plastic!

Very fast & capacious
I bought this for its capacity, but its speed is a great bonus. It took about 3 hours to load my >600GB music library using only USB 3.0 (and if I had 3.2 Gen 2 it might NOT have halved the time because clearly my old PC was the bottleneck). And this Kingston Flash Drive got to an almost imperceptible warmth. It works well and I'm very happy with it.

Dead within a couple hours
I must have been unlucky with this one - didn't last long at all.Didn't do anything unusual with it - formatted it, copied some files to it, downloaded some files to it - then ran a speed test with Black Magic app... that's when it died. The initial speeds were great - in excess of 600MB/s read and write on one laptop.Tested again on another and got 40MB/s?! Re-ran the test and second round it just locked up then hung the computer.I won't be buying another, nor can I recommend if you want your data to be secure.Shame cos it's good value. Wasn't keen on the sliding action to reveal the USB connector plus it's rather long.

They work well, but physically a bit long
It works as advertised. Only criticism is that they are quite long. I use them for TV USB storage for timed recordings or ellapsed recordings and playback. Due to the length it only just fitted in one of the TV's

Failed after 1 Year 6 Months
Nice and quick but failed completely after one and a half years of light infrequent use. Build quality is terrible, flimsy plastic. Returning to Amazon under warranty for full refund to replace with alternative of better build quantity.

Wow! talk about quick.
At speeds like that shown on the screenshot, I can live with the stick being a bit long. tested files at 1Gb upto 5GB all with +780 MB/s writes and +950 MB/s reads this was attached to a 2019 iMac via the 40GB/s thunderbolt port.Feels well made and has a understated styling. You get a reassuring click when pushing the USB-C connector all the way out. There is a slot to fit a substantial lanyard if needed. When not in use the connector can be pushed back and protected from damage. The 256GB is a nice size and doesn't unduly compromise space vs price.Only problem now is, all my other USB sticks are going to be way to slow for me lol!Definitely a worthwhile purchase
