Good quality, good brightness and colour
I've now bought quite a few of these over the course of the last year gradually kitting out my flat. Originally it was for the purpose of replacing old CFL bulbs that were not very bright and gave inconsistent light in the same room. But now I've taken to just replacing bulbs when I feel it's time to refresh a room! I've become a big LED convert (started from seeing a friends Hue set up - though that's too pricey for me - and then replacing pricey halogen spotlights with the Philips LED equivalents) and feel the lower energy use, instant on, and consistent colouring across lights is brilliant.I reckon if you're here, you're already seriously considering LED lights, so more important is why these ones? Well, I've bought a cheap pair in the past, but they became annoying; they both burnt out quickly and although they were quickly replaced, I found the replacements were slightly different in brightness. I really feel like you get a higher quality from Philips (and not for much more money) and so have been going for their bulbs when I could (the exception being my most recent GU10 bulb purchase, which came from elsewhere based on a Which? test review). These bulbs are very highly rated everywhere, and for good reason!I bought the 11W ones for my living room to test them out - if they weren't bright enough I was going to move them to my bedroom. However, I think that for my set up they're perfect; any more power and they'd be too bright, I think. Any less and the room would be as dim as it was with the more energy hungry (13 and 18W - though actually the 18W ones were okay) CFLs I had.Highly recommended! The only thing I can't fathom is why the pack of 4 is more expensive than buying 4 individual ones...!

Goodbye CFL's you will not be missed. I have replaced you with the much much better LED's.
Excellent lighting, as bright as it is claimed to be, 75 watt equivalent. I bought 2 of these for my kitchen and can now see everything properly for the first time for years. I had tried 60w LED which I have have in other rooms and they were a bit too dim. Those will be kept for spares.Clear, perhaps slightly pink tinged light but the tint hardly matters set against the vile, yellow, underpowered CFL's. LED's per item are now scarcely more expensive than good quality CFL's, are of course much cheaper to run and need replacing much less often. And it is wonderful to have the right light levels once again. Dim light is so depressing in winter. The difference in lighting levels is staggering, and I was using allegedly equivalent or stronger good quality CFL's, and resigned to living in a yellowish gloom. Not any more! There is no delay in the light coming on, they are of the light intensity stated and they should last quite a long time. Both were working on arrival. The only slight niggle is that the connectors are a little deep and I had to push harder to get the lamp into the light holder, but they are both in place.I've replaced all my CFL's with LED lights now, for not much more than the cost of replacement Phillips CFL's. (Though I haven't bought any of those for several years; prices may have changed.) The first Philips LED I tried was about 5 years ago and it is still working perfectly. I have also bought another LED brand which I am equally happy with.

Nice and bright, nice colour, but leaves the ceiling a little dark.
Nice and bright - though I'd still potentially like even brighter :^)One niggle though and what lost it a star.... when hanging down from the ceiling, it doesn't put much light upwards, which negates a little of the effect of the extra brightness, as the ceiling isn't as bright as it could be. It gives the room a slightly dingy feel, even though it's bright downwards. In fact, I was glad I bought 2 ... I put the first in the ceiling fitting as planned... but upon seeing how nice and bright it was down, but how dreary the ceiling looked, and also how dark my desk lamp now looked alongside it, I immediately swapped out the bulb in the desk lamp for the second of these bulbs. Now, with both on together, that puts a nice amount of light up towards the ceiling, albeit only on one side of the room, but it does help. The colour is nice.A lot better colour than the cold white LED that I had in the ceiling before. The cold white may give more light for the same power, but I think that was a mistake - a bit too clinical for relaxing in the evening before heading off to bed - and glad I've replaced it with this bulb.Summary :Nice and bright, but the next one I buy, I'll be first looking to see if there's a version that gives the same (or more) light output, but that also puts more light on the ceiling as well. Given a choice between this 1520lumens with the darkish ceiling, and a 930lumens with a wider beam that puts more upwards, I'd probably still choose this 1520 lumens ... but if there's a 1520 (or better) that also lights the ceiling a little more, I'd go for that.
