Great for basket or blanket.
I have always loved Bernat Blanket yarn because it is so "squishy" and warm when worked into a blanket. However I purchased these two skeins to use for the pattern of the basket that is on one of the skeins that I received. The second skein includes a pattern for a blanket. Reading through the pattern for the basket it seems relatively straightforward and easy. I will be using the pattern repeatedly with other heavy Bernat yarn that I have in my stash. This particular purchase was a good buy for the price. This is called Bernat Blanket Extra, and is considered Jumbo or a 7 weight, and I believe it has some additional reinforcement compared to their regular blanket yarn, it seems stronger. I purchased the Velveteal color, which is a nice bluish teal, leaning toward a peacock blue color rather than a greenish teal. There are 97 yards per skein and it is 100% polyester. Recommended hook size is a US letter size P or Q or 15mm for crochet, and for knitting, knitting needles in size 17 or 12.75 mm. It is machine washable and dryable. I have always found that Bernie does not disappoint and works well when creating projects.
