Excellent product
Always difficult trying to drill holes and vacuum the mess at the same time, and the vacuum hose is never long enough. I bought this to see if if would make it easier. I am very impressed and use it all the time now. and the household are happier too, because I am not using the home vacuum cleaner to vacuum the dust

Awesome. Of course, it's a Makita.
Just got it out of the box, plugged in my Makita 4.0Ah battery and sanded down a table with my orbital. Indoors! No dust. Twenty minutes solid use so far, and I've finished the job. For the hell of it will try it with one my 2.0Ah next time. (I like too work with a couple of 2.0Ah, keeping two more charging while I work. Easier on the wrists at my age.)

could be compared to a "legally permitted scam"
whilst purchasing it, I realized that I did not dig deep enough to know that it comes without a battery. I started searching for a compatible battery ... and then it flashed across my mind... I also need to buy a battery charger because it does not charge itself whilst docked in the machine.even worse ... contacted amazon spent hours trying to explain and gave me a refund ... Yes, a refund on another order that had nothing to do with this one.So i decided to let it rot and never ever look at Makita again. customers should not be treated as if they were just numbers ina statistical column.Hello!!!!! Earth calling Amazon!!!

Delivery Beyond the Call of Duty
I thought being a Makita it may be something special, but was disappointed.I wanted to attach it to a Makita palm sander to better clear the dust. It attaches to the sander fine and suction is ok but nothing to rave about. The big issue is battery power which lasts 15 minutes if your lucky and so no good for what I needed it for.Now I just use the hose that was supplied with it into a normal vacuum. On the plus side the delivery was fantastic. On the day of delivery we had heavy rain and the house was surrounded by 18" of water. The postman and the binmen refused to come down the street. But the Amazon man rolled up his trousers and paddled through the water soaking his shoes and socks on the way.He could have left the parcel at a house further up the street which wasn't flooded, but as he could see that we were in persisted in delivering the parcel direct. If Victoria Crosses were awarded to delivery drivers. This one would have been a deserved recipient.
