Does the lamp switch straight away on sliding up or only when full opened?

Switches on immediately, which allows you to control the light output but opening only part-way of you wish.

Yes it’s rechargeable but also takes 3xAA batteries as a backup.

Hi does the led go green when fully charged please

When charging there is a small pinprick size red light. When fully charged the light turns green.

it says use usb lead (iincluded ) but was missing do i send it back or can u send one thank you
