I came looking for a Solder mat after watching Drone Mesh promo one from BG on his YT channel. and I found this one. Shipping was super fast and it was packaged very nicely. I have used it a few times now. It's much nicer to use while soldering the little square compartments at the top with the magnetic strip is a really nice touch and it helps to keep my screws and small parts organized while soldering electronics. I've been using it while soldering components together on my flight controllers and it works very well for that! I don't really have any negative thoughts of this Solder heat mat.

This mat is great when working on little projects at my desk and it eliminates the risk of my wife getting angry that I burned it because I don’t. My shop is in a state of flux right now and I’ve had to work inside the house. I think I need a larger one for my workbench now can’t imagine working without one now. Now if I can get a fume extract device life would be good

I use it for replacing watch batteries as a volunteer for a non-profit thrift store. It has a non marring surface, and there are tiny pockets across the top that are perfect for holding tiny screws and small watch batteries out of the way.

I was expecting it to be a little larger but after using it, i fell its the right size for my bench. I do notice that it holds dirt or sand and it feels dirty after use. cleaning it with glass cleaner and its good to go again. The magnetic strip doesn't hold much at all if any. I would not enjoy the one with closable compartments. it just feels to flimsy and I'm sure would get in the way..

It holds up against solder drops & accidental tip contact. Its very easy to clean. The magnets are not super strong (as expected) so do not lift it if you have screws in the trays. It is relatively small in comparison to other mats I have purchased, so keep this in mind if you generally work in larger areas or if you are a larger individual. I use this strictly for mobile phone repair due to size (and the fact it does not like to be folded or rolled up).

Sits nice and flat. I envisioned it as being a little larger but this is good. A nice feature is that no glue will stick to silicone, except silicone glue.

I solder and this barrier has saved many a surface.
