I’m gluten free and dairy free (yes it’s so much fun) and finding good Mac n Cheese? Was a nightmare for years. Now we have so many to choose from. But I always come back to Annie’s as a staple. When I find this one at grocery stores on sale I buy their entire stock. Just one of the best ones in my opinion I keep a bunch of different kinds in the cupboard but I always have at least 12 of these 🤣

I bought this product because I love Annie's but the dairy in their 'regular' gluten free mac and cheese bothered my stomach. After reading the ingredients and knowing the bad luck I've had with other versions of vegan / gluten free / dairy free mac and cheese, I was expecting the yucky. But this one pleasantly surprised me! I made mine with water instead of the almond milk suggested, and added butter before mixing the sauce in. If you're not restricted to the vegan lifestyle, the butter really helps balance the slightly tart, sometimes sour (but in a good way) cheese sauce. The sauce itself (and maybe this is because I used water) CAN get a bit gritty or pasty if you don't add enough moisture. If you aren't used to the no-cheese vegan flavor, I'd recommend easing into this slowly. I find it appealing, but my father, who is not gluten free and doesn't touch vegan / dairy free substitutes, could not stand it. The good news, NO stomach distress after eating this, and I am very FODMAP sensitive with severe IBS. I have mild Celiac and lactose intolerance, and I had no problems with this mac and cheese. But again, everyone is different. The only way to know is to try it! All in all, I am very pleased with this one and will continue to eat it!

Absolutely delicious, great vegan/GF mac n cheese. But as others have said, the pricing has gotten out of control. I suspect it's because so many people have it on subscribe & save that the prices went up (trying to gouge people that aren't paying attention). It's a shame.

some say it smells like vomit, i dont see it, it just smells like stinky cheese, it tastes like fake cheese, but if you like the fake cheese taste its really good (which i do)

I read pretty mixed reviews, but I decided to try it since I can’t find any vegan AND gluten free mac and cheese in my local stores. The first box I made I used macadamia nut milk, which is all I had at the time. It is too sweet so it made it taste a little off, but not inedible. The second box I tried, I used oat milk which turned out great. It does have kind of a weird flavor to it, like all vegan cheese products I’ve tried, and rice pasta is my least favorite gluten free pasta, but it’s still very good. It’s nice to have this in the house when I get tired of eating the same old stuff.
