A better Mousetrap!!
I had to write something to let others know how incredibly happy I am that I found these forearm crutches. They changed everything for me as soon as I opened the box.I had Meniscus and MCL surgery a little over two weeks ago and using my crutches or a friends medical cane with a forearm holder, well they both worked, but was not the best.I decided to go online to see if somebody had designed something better for people like me recovering from surgery that needed either one or two crutches or canes and I found these in - Motion forearm crutches and cannot believe they not only work a hell of a lot better than what I had been using but they also had built-in shock absorbers. Was hoping when I got them that they would be cool as they looked on Amazon but when I got them, I was so jazzed because they are better than I expected! The quality is incredible. This is not some cheesy garbage from China. This is super high end .... They go together in seconds..... And for me it changed my life being able to use one or two of them at times and have them give me great support from the forearm holders........ But especially the built-in shock absorbers on the bottom which are set perfectly to the right amount of shock absorption. They also have handles that are conformed to your hands that are so much better than the traditional medical forearm crutch which are pretty lame....and this is huge!I could not have designed anything better and I even called the company just to thank them for designing this product and I told them I'm definitely going to put in a good review for them...... Which is something I rarely do.I'm 5 feet nine and I got the taller ones........ And they fit perfectly.Cannot recommend these enough!!!Thank you in Motion. These are helping me through a very difficult time and I absolutely appreciate it so much. Great design!! Thanks again!Scotty

Works great
They work great. I had been using a cane for my hip pain for a while but it reached the point where that wasn't helping much any more. These help a lot. It's great to have at least some of my mobility back. They come with two different cuff sizes, I like how the mostly closed cuff allows you to use a hand or both without having the things fall all over the place or dealing with trying to negotiate carrying the crutch and whatever thing you were trying to hold in the first place.I'd recommend putting some colored tape or a sticker or something to indicate which one is right and left at a glance because the molded hand grips don't make them interchangeable. The hand grips are very comfortable compared to my cane though, but I'd still use some nice padded gloves if you were planning to be on your feet with them for an extended period of time. I did notice that you use some muscles you don't normally use when walking with these, I was a little bit sore in a good post-workout way in my shoulders and abs, but I appreciate that - it's been a minute since I've been able to walk for long enough to get some sort of workout instead of just being immobilized with joint pain for days afterwards.I like the spring action as well, it works well to cushion the impact. Some reviewers seem to think you should be able to fling yourself around on them - they're crutches, not pogo sticks. I think it would be a good idea to shoot a little bit of lubricant up into the springs from time to time for long-term users: looks like they come pre-lubricated with a dry graphite type of lube, so that's what I'll probably use on them in the future. It was true that the cuffs were a bit hard to swap out and that's true, it is a tight fit. Better than being loose and wobbly if you ask me - if you're struggling with them, you can grease them up with a bit of dish soap and rinse it off afterwards (not the entire cuff - hopefully that goes without saying). If you're still having a hard time, you can carefully heat them with a hair dryer or other heat source to soften the plastic a little, but do so at your own risk, obviously.Anyway, I'm very satisfied with these things. Would buy them again. I'm a tradesman and I have a pretty critical eye when it comes to build quality and the like and these seem pretty durable and well built. I'd say you get your money's worth. Going to go for a little walk around the block with them now just because I can!
