Great kit and exactly what I needed to finish a pinball machine I was working on for my grandson. Easy to use and worked perfectly.

In my set, the 4 and 5 pin female headers have no notches for the male connectors to latch to. In effect, I received half the box with JST XH 2.50mm 4 and 5 pin female connectors. The male connectors are no good unless they have a female counterpart to connect to. [See the first photo.] I have also included the pictures from the seller for what the 4 pin and 5 pin connectors SHOULD look like. As you can see, my 4 and 5 pin female connectors do not have the notch for the male latch, rendering the male counterparts useless. I thought this was a good deal, almost too good to be true, especially when I could find no other sellers on Amazon who sold JST XHP 2.54 latching connectors.

But you had better have the right special crimper! My general purpose multi crimping tool did not do the job on these tiny items. I ended up soldering them and folding the tabs over with needle-nose pliers, under a microscope.

I ordered before the hitchimi ones which were bad quality. This one here are perfect and they also have clips to secure the connectors in the socket. Good buy.

i gave up trying to crimp a 3 wire connector. if you need these, get the pre-made pigtail set.

Great little box

I dont know how you are suppose to connect the micro tiny ends to the wires. You would think a youtube vid linked to a barcode on the box would be the bare minimum these days. No instructions at all. I have gone on YouTube and found someone talking about how to fit JST connectors but I shouldn't have to. This firm loose opportunity to sell the crimper with these. Just requires a little thought

These are not JST-XH or JST-XHP connectors they appear to be JST-XM or JST XMP connectors. Fortunately I can use them or they would have gone back.
