This mannequin head is incredibly realistic—looks and feels just like real hair! My granddaughter, who's super into doing hair, wanted a doll head so she could comb, braid, apply gel, and wash it however she liked. When we came across this one, she picked it right away. I was a bit surprised since it’s not a baby doll head, but she was super excited. It arrived three days before her 8th birthday, and she’s been obsessed with it ever since. The clamp that holds the head steady while she styles it is perfect. She’ll spend hours just doing hair! This head has been a total hit at our place. The hair is super easy to comb, and it looks really realistic. It’s soft, silky, and really easy to work with—great for practicing all sorts of hairstyles. The thickness in some parts of the head, especially towards the top, feels pretty realistic, but it can be a little annoying at times. I can still work with it, though. I also wish the hair was packed a bit tighter—it would look more natural. But honestly, most mannequin heads don’t have that, so for the price, it’s still a solid choice. Overall, it’s a good mannequin head, exactly as advertised. The hair has a coarser texture, which I really liked because it’s closer to natural African American hair. There are even a few gray streaks, which is a nice touch. I’ve read some reviews about shedding, but since I just got it today, I can’t say how bad that will be yet. I’d definitely recommend it for beginners. I tried knotless braids, but the hair was a bit too soft to grip at first. After washing and blow-drying, though, it took on a semi-kinky texture, which made braiding way easier. I also heat styled it, and the hair didn’t burn at all, which was a nice surprise!

I haven't been able to use this yet because its impossible to get the head attached to the stand and the hair quality doesn't seem great , its probably best for a student not someone using it for actual instruction . Other reviews said it also tends to shed a lot .

We’re really happy with this mannequin! The hair stays in place, and only a few strands come out when brushing. Overall, it works great, and I’d definitely recommend it. We’ve used heat and color/bleach on it, and it’s held up well. Even if the dye stains the skin, it eventually comes off. The hair is a little shorter than what’s shown in the pictures, but I got the longest option available, so it’s not a big deal. I absolutely love this mannequin! I dyed the hair, and the color took really well. The length is perfect for styling, and the results from a roller set and blowout were awesome. It’s still long enough for ponytails and plenty of other practice. The face is a bit creepy, but honestly, it’s not as weird as some other mannequins I’ve seen. The mount fits perfectly on my table, too.
