I used these on my chicken coop to secure a tarp and they performed exactly as needed. The ties are sturdy and held everything in place even when the wind picked up. They were easy to loop around the tarp and coop frame, lock down, and trim the excess. No slipping or loosening overnight. As a small-farm builder/rancher type, I often need fast, reliable fixes outdoors—these zip ties delivered. They’re heavy enough for farm use (not just indoor cable bundling) and the self-locking mechanism made installation quick. Overall: very pleased. I’d buy them again and recommend them for outdoor gear, coops, sheds and similar uses. What I liked: • Very strong and durable, held the tarp securely in place • Easy to use — loop, lock, trim excess • Good value for outdoor/farm/workshop use What could be improved: • Might be nice if the manufacturer offered even longer lengths for wrap-around larger posts or bigger tarps • If you need dozens for a large project you’d want to check how many come per pack

These metal zip ties worked perfectly for my chicken run. My chickens kept breaking the plastic ones, but these hold everything securely. Easy to use and still flexible similar to the plastic versions. Super strong and exactly what I needed!

good product, holds really well, last longer I this Texas heat

I'm replacing 500 nylon zip ties that hold up our sports court netting. I'm tired of having to replace many of them every spring. The nylon versions don't hold up well to the UV and weather damage. They became brittle and would just break. I'm trying these metal versions and hope for longer success. They installed well. Very low failure rate. I did have a few that were just defective and wouldn't lock up. They are hard to get super tight and you'll need to get the hang of using both hands and pushing on the locking mechanism while pulling the exposed end. You'll need a good pair of snips to cut off the excess since side cutters are not strong enough. Fingers crossed that this solves my problem

Quality product should work well

These metal zip ties are working great for all kinds of stuff. I have them on exhaust header wrap, heat shielding, and holding an electric fan. They are a little difficult to get tight though. I use a screwdriver to act as a stop against the zip tie lock to rock pliers against and get this tight, then bend them back over the zip tie lock. This leads me to my only complaint. The epoxy coating causes the lock to fail half the time.

These are very strong and easy to use. Nice colour that doesn’t stand out.

I just hope it keeps its density and doesn't fall apart from the sun - it shouldn’t as it came with UV protection - so time will tell. 🙏🤞
