Extremely accurate and very easy to interface to.
This works very well - much, much better then the less expensive 2-sensor (bug eye) type. Very easy to interface to (3 interface options) and extremely accurate. The service was excellent as well.I made an enclosure for it using a small plastic box from TAP Plastics by drilling a hole in the cover using a 5/8" IRWIN Marples Forstner bit. The round sensor housing fits snugly in the whole and nothing else is required to hold it in place.I want to make sure it is clear that the enclosure is not included with the module. I just wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to work with. I also wanted to add a photo of the project I used it on. I'm currently working on adding another one that is mounted on a stepper motor, so it can be stepped through a 160° arc and take a distance measurement each 8° to be able to map out the area.My project is a rover. Please take a look at the video - note the MB101 LV-MaxSonar-EZ1 Range Finder mounted to the stalk in the video and that it is being used to drive the local override of stopping forward motion and to feed the "Distance to Obstacle" information to the cloud. The control program is getting a distance measurement every 250mS for the local control and then sends information to the cloud based on the change in distance.[...]

The best little distance sensor
This sensor works perfectly with very little set up. I have tried almost all of the distance sensors for an Arduino project, and this one is by far the easiest to use and most reliable. Very consistent readings.

Fine
Works fine with pulse width, needs some technical expertise

MaxBotix Range Sensor
It is very simple, accurate and easy to use. All I had to do was solder in three wires, and I had a working range finder.

These sensors are just "eh.."
Not the best sensors, but good enough for the price.

This is the best ultrasonic range finder
This is the best ultrasonic range finder I have ever had. They have different kinds of range finders based on the range of detection: wide, medium, narrow, … etc. The one I got is the MB1010 LV-MaxSonar-EZ1, with range from 6 inches to 254 inches, 20Hz read rate, and Wide detection field which was an absolute match to my design requirements. The best thing is, it has three output options, Analog, PWM, and Serial communication. I have used the PWM on Arduino and it was a great success.

Cool Range finder
I bought this piece with my Arduino starter kit, and it is amazing, you can in a few simple steps program it and start measuring distances.

It works great
Got it quick, played with it - I'm using it in a robot application - Im using the analog option going to a a/d converter
