Docked one star for the embarrassing fan service.According to the Wiki, Reco is supposed to be a 15-year-old girl, and the artist thought it was appropriate to draw her showing off her naked thighs and perky breasts in provocative poses. (If this is what constitutes "different culture," then I'll keep my own, thanks.) I'm a grown man, not some hormonal teenager, and I'm getting third-hand embarrassment from this crap every time my wife or daughter walks through the living room. The good news for us adults is that there is a solution: you can change the background wallpaper entirely or turn the wallpaper brightness to '0'. (It's still in the main menu, though.) Thankfully, I can mute the cringy kawaii voice acting, too.After that, what you have left is actually a charming little shmup with a refreshing fantasy theme. It's not a personal favourite of mine, but Mushihimesama succeeds & impresses with great music, intense action and high replayability in a solid port from Live Wire.Limited Run release is a keeper that includes the Mushihimesama 1.5 DLC on cart and the final v1.05 build, a reversible cover that shows Kiniro more clearly, and a nice booklet. This one's sure to go for ridiculous prices in the future due to CAVE's reputation.
