About 8 inches. It’s very heavy, and I use it in the winter for my cabin sliding doors to keep the cold out.

Q: Can I use this to hang on wall I share with noisy neighbors?

Yes… I hanged two of these on the walls to blocked cold air coming in from outside of walls/ sunlight and the neighbors.
