Nephew loved it
I got this for my nephew's birthday and he loved it! Couldn't stop playing with it until it ran out of battery. The toy says it's for 8 years and older but I think younger kids would do fine with it. The attachable is cool, but it does not shoot from the robot or some other control, you have to manually shoot it yourself by pressing the button on it. All the kids also loved it at the birthday party. The dance feature is really popular.Overall I'd say this is a great children's gift and easy to use.

The kids love it!
When I pulled it out of the box to charge it, no one wanted to read the directions. They played with it, figuring the remote control out on its own. It didn't hold the attention of the 12 year old too long - he wanted to play video games, but the other grand kids use it when come over. The did read the directions to figure out the hand motions. It's been a pretty big hit.

Cool programmatic robot
The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty neat little guy. Has quite a few features on top of just being a cool design (shield and gun not shown in my video). The thing to keep in mind about this robot is that it doesn't operate like an RC car, but responds to single commands, which is great to learn how to think like a programmer or build robots in the future.

Works great!
The media could not be loaded. My kids haven’t figured out how to get it to fire the bullets yet but they are having a lot of fun with it! You can use it with the remote control or it can do its own thing without it as it is in the video I’m attaching.

Very fun toy for kids
This is one of those toys that actually grows on you after a few uses. The particularly engaging aspects are the gesture sensing and the programing button. The remote/interface is intuitive to use and requires no learning curve. And I like the option to change the speed.Only things that would have made this even more fun is if there was an option to save the programmed commands instead of only being able to play them back once. And a button to operate the cannon would be have been really cool. Overall, great gift for a kid.

Appealing toy but it has some flaws
This interactive robot looks fun but has drawbacks. On the plus side:1. It looks great and comes with accessories (shield and gun with ammo).2. It seems sturdy enough to sustain routine play.3. It has a USB charger, although the remote control still requires batteries. A small screwdriver is included to remove and replace the cover for the remote's battery compartment.3. If the robot walks up to a wall it will detect that and back up. However, it can still fall over if it encounters something low like the edge of a rug or chair rail that is lower than its chest sensor. This does not appear to damage it in any way but does require the user to go set it back upright. The downside:1. The remote is not bluetooth so must have a line of sight to the toy to work it.2. When a control button is pressed to advance, turn, etc. there is a delay in response while the toy audibly repeats each command "move forward," "turn left," etc. before executing it. This is a minor issue but a little tiresome since it occurs for each and every command.3. Fine control is difficult, such as turning just a little to avoid an obstacle.4. The volume can be turned down but not turned off/muted and the constant repetition of commands can become annoying. It also voices prompts to play with it during the 10-minute period of inaction allowed before it will turn off.5. The arms don't really move much, so the "dancing" is mostly limited to moving back and forth and turning. Cute for a few minutes, but pretty basic.6. Some of the recorded stories and "good behavior" encouragements it will play are hard to understand due to the "baby girl" voice used and the poor fidelity.I think this toy would get played with because it looks great, but suspect it would be used in more pretending battles with other action figures than by operating its motion and voice features. It's reasonably priced for a nice-looking robot with a few action features. Just wish I could turn off that little voice!
