Excellent clutch. Yes it is loud, sounds like you are driving a Mac Truck from the inside but you don’t hear it outside. Still though it keeps the engine very cool in the Arizona heat of 120 degrees. The temp needle stayed well under halfway like 40%. The noise is a welcome tradeoff for a super cooled engine and an awesome performing system. Don’t know why all these people are complaining for it’s an off-road vehicle it’s suppose to be loud.

Cooling fan runs consistently. Thermo coupler doesn’t work at all. Belt slips from fan running at 100% all the time. Vehicle sounds like a dump truck. Just buy a factory part.

While doing other work on the engine, I replaced my 2007 Nissan XTerra OR fan clutch with this one. I'm going to remove it and install the factory Nissan part because the exaggerated fan noise is so annoying. I understand that a heavy-duty clutch will lock up more and cause additional fan noise. But this is overkill. It constantly sounds like the engine is going to take off like a jet. It's exhausting on long trips, especially when going uphill into the mountains. My original fan clutch was very quiet and the truck always maintained the correct temperature.

Installed the fan clutch a month ago. Works great and moves a lot of air. Engine temp is steady now and my issue is resolved. We'll see how well it works long term.
