I started to use Fenixl flashlights in 2008-2009 with their T1. Back in these days Cree leds were a rare novelty and you had only few options for tactical lights: heavy and baton-like Maglite with probably 80 lumens top; Surefire that costed arm and a leg; and Fenixlight - light, inexpensive and unknown. I gave it a try and was never disappointed - I think it still is in working condition somewhere, despite all the years of abuse. Today I have several different Fenix lights and totally love them. Now regarding this one, I was looking for good and reliable EDC light. My requirements were: - compact and light enough for EDC - rechargeable - reliable and bright enough in each possible scenario - power outage, dropped something under the bed, returning home late, got lost in the wilderness, car has broken in the middle of nowhere, went down into caves, camping and etc. - you can turn it on/off in milliseconds with a tail switch - not prone to accidental turning on, but does not require a Mortal Combat-style combo to unlock - can survive drops on a concrete floor, rain and occasional swimming PD25R meets all the requirements and more. In addition to the above, I like the charging port protection ring and battery indicator. Pros: - The flashlight is easy to carry, easy and nice to use. It sits well in a jeans pocket or on a belt - The brightness level is amazing for such a small thing. In turbo mode it is brighter than my home lighting in bedroom - The battery lasts long enough for its size. I took it on a week camping and have not recharge it over this time Cons: - can’t think of any. Maybe just one thing: it cannot stand on it’s tail. If it matters to you - consider a different model. Overall summary: I love Fenixlights flashlights. I have a long history with them and they never let me down. I’m happy to see how they improve their models and how every design solution is thought-through and is backed with a real-world experience. This one looks as a good evolution of their previous models with some nice new features and improved brightness/charging. They are not cheap, but that’s because they are not cheap. You can rely on it and it will serve you over the years. I believe it is worth of it’s price and you’re not overpaying for a brand name.

Quality materials and construction. Bought this for its combo of weight/size, USB-C charging port, battery life, and two-way clip so I can use it as a headlamp with a ball cap. The USB charging port is accessed via a machined cover you twist to open. Very slick design to provide a solid o-ring seal with little risk of accidental opening. Illumination is good—I mainly use it at lowest setting. Some other lights are unnecessarily bright like a light saber when all you want is a little extra visibility. Overall a great EDC choice given functionality, compact size, and weight. Also perfect to include in a portable tool roll for the motorcycle mechanics out there.

Its my go to edc , but dont set it to max because it really drains the battery, but every thing else is top notch

I picked this up to go in my sling bag while traveling or walking the dog back home. You never know when you'll drop an item in the dark or find yourself in a poorly lit place. There are 5 modes plus strobe. I think the max mode only runs for a limited time due to heat. Even on the lowest mode, it provides enough light for safe navigation. Mode 2 or 3 might be more useful for piecing something back together though. Light throw distance is good considering it's size. It's not 1000+ lumens and you wouldn't expect that, considering the specs. Size wise, it's smaller than more popular flashlights. It's only a few inches long and that let's fit fine in front pocket of my Bellroy Sling lite. If it were longer, it would impact the flexibility of the bag. Charges with USB C. Momentary push button and full press for on. Overall very nice flashlight. One minor con is that the mode button is a bit hard to find in the dark (go figure). If it had a different material or a ridge that guided my holding hand to it better, it would be easier to change modes.

Been using Fenix for probably a decade or more. Every time I stray I come back. Did a lot of research and this light looked on paper to fit what I was looking for. Excellent throw for it's size, very aggressive spot beam, built like a tank, and easy to use. The charging port cover is done in spectacular fashion, and I'm not worried in the least about it wearing out like most. Clip feels well sized, with the right amount of tension. Worth mentioning again, there's VERY little spill/flood to this light, but that's what i was looking for. A pocket light that is easy to carry, has good visual low lumens for pre-shifts, inspections, and light use while having the ability to light up whatever I need to see at a couple hundred yards. It did not disappoint. Still getting used to finding the almost flush mode button, but I'm sure it'll be like second nature soon, as this is my new carry. I really like the tail on/off with the side mode button, it's definitely going to help with accidental turn ons, and blindings without having to fiddle with a lockout combination. Sorry if I gushed a bit, I'm just really impressed. Reylight, Olight, Streamlight, Surefire, I've ran the course, and Fenix never let's me down.
