Great buy, until my butt got hungry.
I got a pair of these bad boys in, and as soon I opened the package and felt them, I was sold. They are incredibly soft (even for Merino wool, which is already really soft), and they felt amazing putting them on. I was in love them! That is, until I started walking around, bending over, etc. Within just a few seconds after doing some movement, the fabric went straight into the butt crack. I pulled it out, only to have it do it again a few seconds later.I tried to figure out why this was happening, and I determined that the vertical seams in the back are just not wide enough. Because they are fairly narrow, they are wanting to gravitate towards the crack. Enter the hungry butt. With all that fabric encroaching upon the crack, my hungry butt just wanted to gobble it all up. This is the only reason I dropped it a star. Everything else is superb about them.I do have another pair coming, so I will be able to compare and see if this is just a fluke with only one pair or a consistent issue.

I’ve tried a lot of pairs.
Merino wool is amazing! These were a good price so I thought I’d give them a try.All merino wool boxers seem to run small, and there’s always a small risk of shrinkage. So I always size up. I’m normally a medium. I got a large. The fit is slightly loose in the waste, which is kind of annoying, as they tend to ride down. Unfortunately the elastic waste won’t shrink. I suppose if I bought a medium they would have fit my waste better. But the “large” legs fit perfect with a tiny bit of room to spare. So, even if the legs shrink a little they will be fine. The butt area is cut high and small, and feels a little tight. According to my wife, I have no butt, so I’m not sure what truly large person these would fit? They fit me slightly awkward in this area but I’m keeping them for the price. I like that they wrapped the elastic with wool, so that it won’t be a sweat trap, hopefully. Although I’m curious to see how well it will wear. I have a feeling this will be a weakness in their design. These are made of a slightly heavier fabric than some of the other known name brands in merino yet these are cheaper$. I hope that means they’ll be more durable—while delivering greater value—remains to be seen but I have high hopes. Most of my other merino stuff has lasted for years. So maybe I’ll come back in a few years and update my review. Lol. But they seek like a safe bet.

Not bad, but there are better alternatives
For the price, you get a true merino wool underwear that is true-to-size and that doesn't feel itchy when wearing. However, the fit and softness could be better. Merino.Tech makes great T-shirts. Meriwool makes great underwear. I ordered Meriwool underwear shortly after ordering this Merino.Tech underwear, and I have to say there are some minor differences that make Meriwool supreme in the underwear section. As a company, I have to say Merino.Tech is disrupting the merino wool market because their prices are very competitive and the quality of their products is comparable to that of their competitors.Time, end user wear and tear, and end user wash cycles will be the greatest factors in determining the life of these products.

Slight sizing and design issues, but good value
I have ordered 6 pairs of these Merino wool boxer briefs. I am now wearing them on a daily basis, not simply when hiking and camping. There are several good things about this underwear. First, they are the most competitively priced boxer briefs I could find. Second, the manufacturing, stitching, and material all seem great. Third, the company is very responsive to email questions and provides great customer service. There are a few issues with the product that should be refined in the next version. First, the amount of fabric in the back is not enough for people with a muscular or more full bottom. This leads to the briefs sliding down some when one bends over, and can give you a case of plumber's behind (butt crack showing). Second, the opening in the crotch for urination is too small. It makes it difficult to comfortably use to relieve yourself and so you are better off just pulling the briefs down from the top. The last issue I have is the sizing. I ordered the appropriate size for me based on the chart, but they are tight. I think this is mostly because they are new and that they will loosen up as time goes on, but I almost returned them when I received them for that reason. I am at the bottom range for the size I ordered and they are still tight, so I think the sizing is just running a little small.Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and just bought 2 more pairs.

Good, but strange color decision
When I first got the boxers, and put them on, I was very disappointed. They were so skintight not only were they formfitting like briefs instead of boxers, I was worried they sent the wrong size with the right label. However, after resolving myself, I put on my pants and went about my day; determined to test them out.And I'm glad I did. The fabric stretched and relaxed over the course of the day, and by the time I was getting ready for bed and removing my pants, the underwear were loose and draped like boxers. The exact product I ordered. So take note of that; I had to break mine in to get the right fit. Don't be fooled right out of the package. The second point of concern was the color. As we can see in the picture, I have the boxers on the right and a pair of dark/navy blue gym shorts on the left. They are not the same color, and I ordered mine in navy blue. Instead of one color, they seem to have dithered the color: they stitched rows of blue, red, and perhaps black together in a pattern so that looking at it from afar it MAY look like navy blue. Looks more like purple to me.Then again, it's underwear, and color usually isn't vital. I took a star off for that color scheme, but I'm still quite happy with them in every other aspect. Just be aware of what you might get.

Good, so far
I've been wearing merino boxers from another brand for over a decade. They are typically expensive and delicate. The merino.tech ones fit quite well and a comfortable. Can't speak to longevity yet. Only thing that took getting used to was feeling the rear seams. The price is right, the product is made in Thailand, and M.tech is a Canadian company. Will definitely be getting more of these.

Too short on Back
These are comfortable and then material is thicker than some others in this space which I think will translate to good durability. They are, however a little short on the top part of the back which means you end up with a bit of a plumbers butt. It’s the only flaw I see with them, they seem decent in every other regard, but would be great if they would address this issue.

So good, warm & comfy
I've bought this underwear along with 4 sets of Merino tech base layer pants & t-shirts and man it's so warm & comfy. Sits well, doesn't slide, not too warm/not too cold. Love it!
