Definitely kept me warm
I bought this for a road trip full of winter camping. I wore it at Yosemite in February during single digit temperatures while tent camping as well as at Zion during a massive snow storm and it kept my face warm. Only thing I wish it had a little more stretch as it was a little hard to get on and off and could feel constricting if I just pulled it down around my neck when I needed to take it off. Served its purpose and glad I bought it!

Hood a bit small, but other wise, warm and comfortable
I live in eastern Maine where winters are pretty brutal. As a hardcore naturalist and wilderness lover, I spend a LOT of time outdoors, even in winter. For decades, I'd worn either scarves, mufflers or shemaghs around my neck along with a fleece cap and a hooded jacket. But I decided to try this product.I'm glad I bought it. It's MUCH warmer to me than a scarf, muffler or shemagh (those are cotton), and much more fitting around my neck. (We lose about 20% of our body heat through our head and neck, so the old adage "If your feet are cold, put on a hat" is true physiologically.)My only disappointment is that the hood fits a bit too snugly. I can get it on, even over my fleece hat. But it's not easy at all. It's not like a hoody that just flips up; I have to work with it.Admittedly, even though I'm a smaller man (5'9", 145ish), I have a larger than normal head. (Explains where my exceptional mind resides <joke>.) But normal sized hoods work well for me over my cap.Still, this is great around my neck draping down over the tops of my shoulders. So I'm glad I purchased it.If I get word that this company has introduced another model with a larger, roomier hood, I'll buy it.

Warm, but sizing is inconsistant.
We ordered two of these, one gray the other army green. I wanted gray, my husband army green. We had to swap because the army green was smaller than the gray, and was too tight for him. There's a good inch difference when one is laid on top of the other, and the neck is a tighter. Also, the gray one didn't have the Joyoldelf embroidery on it, however it has a tag sewn inside with Joyoldelf on it, whereas the army green one does not. In addition, the seam stitching is different. Army green has a straight stitch and overlock, the gray just the overlock stitch. The army green one is made of a heavier fleece material than the gray. They were probably made in different factories. Lots of inconstancies between the two. When ordering you would expect the only difference would be the color of the item. That is why I gave it 4 stars. However, we recently moved to the bush of Alaska and have already experienced -20 below, wind chill factor of -33 a couple of week ago. We needed something to protect our face when out walking, or riding the 4 wheeler in the cold weather. No such thing as an inclosed vehicle in this village. We just received these and it had warmed up to 18. We used them when we road the four wheeler to the the post office, and last night during the fireworks show on the frozen river. They were actually almost too warm with the mouth covering pulled up. Our heads and faces were the warmest part of our bodies, it's nice to have the long neck covering in the front and back. Much better than the knitted hats we brought with us. However, I couldn't wait to pull mine off as soon as the I got off the 4 wheeler when we returned home, that's how warm they are. I'll probably chose not to wear mine with the current temperatures. I think we are now prepared when the below zero temperatures and winds return.

Comfortable and versatile
Very comfortable and adaptable. A little awkward to adjust on the fly if you don’t get the face mask part in the right position. It was moderately warm in below freezing and windy conditions; wind can “leak” through the hood portion because it doesn’t have double/triple layers. With the face mask, glasses will fog up unless you keep it loose (or “cheat” by leaving the face mask down as a gator and pull up the gator portion as a face mask, which is looser and less likely to trap moisture from your breath).

Decent product.....
Well, whadya know. This item is heavier in weight and roomier than I was expecting. I'm a big guy, big head, big neck, and it's comfortably roomy enough to wear a fleece beanie type cap under it, and it doesn't compress my nose flat like some of the other brands of these that I've ordered. The OD green color is pretty accurate. I bought it to cover down into the neck area of my M-65 field jacket to keep cold drafts out and add soft cozy comfort to the neck area. Works perfectly for that and adds a little more versatility to an already awesome coat. I'm happy with it, and it's definitely a buy at the the price listed and worth purchasing.

Warm but…
The hood part is way to big and doesn’t fit properly.
