I'm not a professional, and my tolls get only occasional use, but I like to maintain them functionally and aesthetically. This Protective Boot was featured in a "review" video, and a bit difficult to find on the Milwaukee.com site. I treated it with Tire Dressing (inside and out), let it "soak in" overnight, then stretched it over for a perfect fit. This will enable a better grip when in-use, and protect the plastic body from scratches. The feel of the rubber changes with Tire Dressing, and tends to shed dirt and resist abrasion better than if not treated. Hope this helps.

Although a little steep for a simple pice of rubber at almost 1/4 the price of an impact tool, it does protect from drops (too frequent) with large rubber bumpers and pads to keep your tool functional when it gets banged around.

you spent good money for a really well made impact gun, it just makes a lot of sense to install a protective cover. this cover fits like a glove. well worth the money

Don’t go without
Absolutely the best thing to have. I put my impact through absolute hell. I’ve personally dropped it from 100+ feet into sand. With these boots it keeps them not only looking great but it really softens the basket drops or the accidental air mail
