Dri-Pak Homey Mart Citric Acid, Natural Appliance Descaler, 250g

Bought to descale my kettle because we live in a hard water area. As well as being pretty economical, citric acid is great for this and works just as well as other products which are more chemically in nature. It really is just a matter of boiling half a kettle of water, adding the crystals and waiting for half an hour or so, then rinsing/boiling several times. Voila, a nice shiny kettle! The only issue I've had is that the crystals absorb even the slightest moisture from the atmosphere so that the box ends up unpleasant and damp, which is why I've deducted a star. This doesn't seem to affect the effectiveness of the citric acid at all. Next time I'll just put the whole box into a plastic storage container as soon as I receive it which should solve the problem. Definitely worth keeping a box in stock, I'll happily buy it again.

Worked magic on the boiler, which was covered in deposits. I thought I’d have to buy a new one. So delighted. Must use this more often. So easy.

Excellent on toilet limescale...could not shift ...mixed whole box with warm water and a little white vinegar ...went to work ...11 hours later came home used my electric scrubbing brush ...2 mins later all gone ...amazing

Used same to descale both kettle and toilet. Worked very well. Will definitely use again.
