Different type of Zombie tail
I really enjoyed the fact that this book focused more on the story line. The zombies took a step back and the focus was on characters. As I stated to read the stores I started feeling a little bored but I thought I should read on. I am so glad I continued reading it got more exciting as I read on. The story line was very good. There are books that I don't I have to go back and review what I just read to understand the point they were trying to make. If it happenBe too often I get frustrated. This was not the case with this book it was concise and we'll written. I enjoyed how when a story ended in was not a cliffhanger. It made it easy to take a break from my reading. The stories line continues but each story is independent from each other t other one continued on with the previous stories line.

The return of Damien...... what an epic story!
Iain does it again. Savage MUST be read after Ravage in order to get the full benefit of a terrific apocalyptic tale. Iain also brings back all of our favourite characters. The only criticism I have (please note that the action and the strength of the tale make up for this flaw) is that Iain sometimes loses the voice of a particular character. I have mentioned this in past reviews of Iain's books. In Savage, the most notable examples are Damien and Samuel. Sam especially comes across as a belligerent, spoiled dictator rather than the powerful, possessed being from the novel, SAM. I adore Damien, but here again there seems to be inconsistencies with his personality traits between books. However, I can only praise Iain for bringing back Anna and keeping her as tough as ever. I also loved Garfield. Lastly, an added bonus is that Iain created some back stories for some the more obscure characters and included them as stand alone stories at the end of the novel. What more can you ask for? Enjoy!

I'm a fan!
I love zombie books with plot and a lot of things happening through all the book, while they make sense. This book was really good and I'm glad I've got to read it.I've read several books about the author, and even when all of them are stand alone books, they relate in one way or another. While I was reading this one, I was remembering other books and I realized that it add a lot to the background and why things turned out like that. I'm positive I've read the books out of other, but none pf them were spoilers from the other books. I appreciate that a lot. There was just one thing related to editing, when Garfield is thinking about everything that happened it gets repetitive, the same paragraphs are written twice with just a few pages apart. However, that didn't take anything away from the story.I'm so looking forward to finish the other books and I know I'm gonna enjoy them. I really like the author's style.

Frightening!
Savage is a scary story! The undead took a backseat to the horrible humans. People are much worse than zombies. I really enjoyed this book. I loved (and hated) the characters. They really came to life. I haven’t read all of the books in order but I was still able to understand what was going on. I now want to go back and read all of the books that pertain to this trilogy.

A Breath of Hope
Through three novels we followed the travels and travails of the surviving humans. The trilogy comes to a close with a glimpse of hope. Sometimes that is all we need.

Excellent series!
But i believe you can read each book on its own.If your like me when a story has too many characters in it i start losing track, but this author has succeeded where others have not, each one is easy to identify,to me that rated 5stars in itself ,besides the excellent story itself,,you will be very happy you invested in one or all 3,,Good job !!!!!!

Didn't like zombies until I read this series
I'm not a great lover of zombie books, but I decided to give Iain a chance and read this series. The story isn't as much about zombies destroying the world as it is about the survivors and their reaction and how the are dealing with the changing world. A great bunch of characters you will love and bad guys you love to hate. Thank you Iain for another great read.
